Modern presidents have for the most part prety much sucked.
bit of a sacred cow barbecue perhaps but thats just the way i see it.
there are presidents in our nations history with little "experience" on the national stage in politics who went on to be great presidents. many say though that.... that was a different time. well... im tired of the same slackjawed rich white guy doing so little when they get in there.
its entirely possible that Obama will suck as a president. but i think its equally if not exceedingly more possible that McCain will. his "experience" has done NOTHING for him. he mispeaks in the most horrible ways on the issues that should be his strongest points. his economic gimmicks are illustrative of just how lost he is to real domestic problems. What has "experience" given McCain? i see no evidence of it paying off for him or the American public aside from a few bipartisan bills, a couple of which hes completely against or running perpindicular to now.
Im tired of this "experience" veil being lifted and revealing nothing. we can keep touting this pillar of presidential resolve... for no god damn reason. sure we dont want bafoons in there but its a crap shoot reguardless. Bush had more experience than Obama and he was fried gold now wasn't he?
this unexperienced paranoia is funny. because the antithesis doesnt exist... when people are to entrenched in washington politics to get anything done, or worse... get things done for everybody except the god damn American Public at large.
Im going to vote on issues, policy and yes... character. because i also happen to think foreign diplomacy needs to have a comeback... you know, the crap that actually works!?
cue the 'Tea time' pessimists,
whatever, the adults are talking.
...And character will matter in foreign policy. McCain quite frankly, looks like he will be a foreign policy trainwreck.
For all that experience, its telling to see McCain Lock step with bush. the guy is Obama's best ally in this campaign. McCains advisors and his current voting record are his major problems, when they should be his best.
