It's bound to happen soon, especially in Pennsylvania. Obama has had consistent double-digit leads in that state for two weeks now, and his poll performances have only been getting better with each new poll from various polling agencies. It is outlandish and foolish for McCain to focus on a state where Obama has such large leads, which is why it makes strategical sense for him to pull out of Maine and Wisconsin (surprisingly, however, McCain is still doing better in Wisconsin than Pennsylvania).

He needs to focus on securing Colorado and keeping the remainder of the red states red... which may difficult to do, considering he is down in VA, OH, FL, ND, NC, NV, and CO. Obama is at 264 secure electoral votes right now... if just one of those states swings to the Democratic tally, McCain will either lose the election or the election will be sent to the House of Representatives (with the exception of ND, which only has 3 electoral votes).

It is a real uphill battle for him... especially since early voters appear to be voting for Obama in droves in states such as OH and GA... it appears as though McCain's strategy has come three weeks too late.

Did anyone see the CBS Evening News segment that just aired? Katie Couric was asking Obama and McCain two questions - Considering the way you live now, why isn't saying that you're 'too elitist' a valid criticism? AND Why do you think people are unfaithful to their spouses?

Question 1: Obama said that up until his speech at the 2004 convention he and his family lived in a 2 or 3 bedroom condo, had no retirement or college funds set up for their children. (I had no clue about that, I'm definately interested in finding out more about that.) McCain said that he was the son of a Naval officer (in which sacrifice goes with the territory) AND he lived in a very small room with no kitchen table, sometimes alone, for 5 and a half years. You read that right.

Question 2: Both candidates fumbled all over the question. Obama said he had no clue, and said the he would 'leave it to the psychologists'. He said that he believes your public face should reflect your private face, there should be no difference. McCain invoked the bible saying 'he would not judge others'. He chose to not mention his first marriage. Isn't that interesting?

LOL. You, like I, have no idea why he and his wife split up... Their divorce was uncontested and he went on to pay for her medical bills and, by all accounts, they've always stayed on good terms...

What happens behind closed doors is anyone's guess. For all we know, she wanted the divorce or she caused the divorce... Who knows. (Even though McCain himself took responsibility for it. Go figure.) But I find it to be outlandish that you would even deem it appropriate to raise such a personal issue that is, frankly, none of anyone's business - and furthermore about which no one has any information on which to even base a decision on character - as a means of pushing your anti-McCain views of whether the man is capable of being President.

There are a lot of things to criticize McCain about - this is among the most stupid.

Have to disagree there. In no way, shape or form is that clear. I don't think that's make or break for a presidential candidate in my book - judge not, lest ye be judged and all -I just find it funny when stuff like this comes from a political party that unfortunately tends to do a lot of judging of others.
