Any one else think McCain, should he lose, is going to refuse to concede until morning? It seems like something he would do. He seems to feel entitled to the presidency. Not to mention this is his life long dream. I think he is going to come off as a stubborn little baby tonight, and even after he loses, he will stamp his feet and scream "I WON'T GIVE THAT COMMIE THIS ELECTION UNTIL EVERY VOTE IS COUNTED!"...hell, he might even be delusional enough to think he can still win and the initial counts are wrong. But yeah, I can't see him stepping out of the picture gracefully once it becomes clear he has lost. I think it'll take until at least the morning before his advisors can convince him to step down with the little dignity he has left.

It would depend on how he refuses to concede and what the numbers look like. I don't think there's anything wrong or whiny with waiting until all voting is finalized.

If McCain loses any two of Florida, Ohio, Virginia, or North Carolina and things are looking bad in Coldorado he should concede as this election will be over. Hell, if he wins any three of those, he shouldn't even wait for the Coldorado results.

McCain can save his legacy tonight by bowing out like a gentleman once its over. If he tries to throw a hissy fit...I don't think he'll win re-election in 2010.

Honestly? I think it's going to be abundantly clear to everyone but McCain that it's over long before he's willing to admit it to himself, let alone the rest of the country. He's acted like a spoiled child this entire election, so why would he stop at the end of it all?

It's possible he'll drag it out. However I'll look past it on two conditions.

1) McCain must do the buldging eye look, and his tongue MUST be sticking out. We need a new GIF to last us for the next 4 years until next election.

2) The word maverick, and the name Joe, both must be banned from the English language for the next 10 years. He gets bonus points if Moose, and you betcha' go with them. Double whammy award if 'my friends' is no longer used by John McCain himself (even in private settings, just knowing somewhere McCain is saying 'my friends' /shivers).

Its not sarcasm. Joe answered the question, he said in numerous ways that he thinks it is wrong to take a higher percentage and Sanchez twisted it each time and even used it to segway into his lack of license and income? Sanchez was being unfair.

I feel bad for Joe the Plumber. He's not the smartest man on Earth, got a little bit of celebrity, and enjoyed it, and clearly put himself out there more than he should've and now the media is just having a grand ol' time making him look like an idiot.

I don't feel sorry for Joe the Plumber. He didn't ask McCain to invoke his name 22 times in the debate, but he has done interviews, going on campaign trail, and even planning to become a musician and write a book, not to mention a possible run for office. I think he's rather enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.

I don't feel bad for him one bit. He's in this sitiuation because he put himself here. I like the fact that Rick called him out on his lies and Joe seemed stunned that someone challenged him.

You can't put yourself out there in the public, endorse a canidate, lie about your income and expect to get away with it.

I don't. McCain might have put him into the public eye's doorway, but he did the rest and walked through it. I bet he's been making a pretty penny off appearance fees for the past few weeks.

yes. I agree. I cheered, however I ignored the boos. McCain deserves a lot of respect for serving in America's unpopular war, being imprisoned, but overcoming that trauma to attempt a bid at the presidency. I couldn't walk in an inch in his boots or any other veteran unselfishly serving this country. It was an interesting ride wasn't it?
