WTF, LOAD is a GREAT album, there are only a couple of bad songs on Load.

The Outlaw Torn is one of my favorite songs.

Carpe Diem is good too.

I'm honestly like the only person I know who really likes Load/Reload
Don't feel bad. I like them, too. And how's this, I actually like St. Anger! Talk about a lonely club.

King Nothing is one of my all time favorite songs, hands down.

The new video for All Nightmare Long.

I'm sure it's already been posted, but I just had to share. See, my neighbor thinks all of the Russian scientist stuff is real! She think Larz actually has a sample of the "spores". I wish I knew why my wife and I have always managed to have psycho women as neighbors.

Sigh.

Funny story :hehe:

Ahhh, okay that's good to know, thanks for telling me! :woot: Planning on going to the store today and picking it up.

So far every song I've heard I've liked. I think I'll like this CD quite a bit. I've listened to AJFA quite a bit this past week actually. I forgot how awesome it is. I usually listen to RTL/MOP when I listen to Metallica.

From the songs I heard it does sound like it'd be the follow up to AJFA, except the vocals are different. But yeah. :D

I love their four original albums the most, as well as Death Magnetic. As far a pure headbangin' goes though, I don't know if Kill 'Em All can be topped. I'm in love with The Four Horsemen, Whiplash, Phantom Lord, and Seek & Destroy. All effin' great songs.

Damn, you skipped a lot of years haha

It's not that I don't like Load and ReLoad... I'm actually in the middle of learning a couple of songs from both albums. I thought we had this chat?

Where The Wild Things Are gets me goin'. Same with The Memory Remains and King Nothing. Cure and Until It Sleeps are awesome as well.

The reason I said Death Magnetic picked up where ...And Justice For All left off was because ...AJFA was their last Thrash album. They ceased their Thrash style with the "Black" album, and became more of a Heavy Metal band, which they continued with on Load and ReLoad. Death Magnetic was their return to the roots that made them so notorious in the first place.

King Nothing is one of my all time favorite songs, hands down.

I'm so close to finishing that, I just keep forgetting to... Well, actually finish it.

King nothing? You mean "Enter Sandman II" ?

:P I kid, I like it too. The House That Jack Built is great as well.

Haha, if anything, King Nothing is Jason Newsted's answer to Cliff's For Whom The Bell Tolls.

We did. Twice, I think.

It's better than Sandman, though, I think. Better flow, energy, and just generally more pleasing...

It doesn't take much, most over rated song ever.

Robert Trujillo joined Rodrigo y Gabriela on stage last Friday night for a jam and a performance of Orion. Being a big fan of both Metallica and Rod y Gab I thought this was just awesome.:highfive:

You're about a year late there, man ;) :oldrazz:, it came out last December.
Awesome video though, one of their best.
Funny story about your neighbour, too.:hehe:

KEA, IMO, is in competition with St Anger as their weakest record. I mean it's got a bunch of cool songs, but they're pretty juvenile lyric-wise and the songwriting is pretty simplistic (not that being simplistic is necessarily a bad thing). There's a major step up from KEA to RTL and beyond both lyrically and musically.

I don't have one specific favourite record, but I think, as far as a consistent greatness start to finish it's gotta be MOP with RTL, ...AJFA, TBA and DM coming in close behind it.
While the Loads have some absolutely great songs, they're inconsistent and the focus is spread out too much.
And I don't care what anyone says, Frantic, The Unnamed Feeling and All Within My Hands are awesome.

But what you seem to be forgetting is the fact that they almost were juveniles when they made the record. That said, its music is much heavier, better, and more interesting than anything St. Anger had. Comparing the two albums is just insane. Kill 'Em All isn't as strong as Ride the Lightning or the following albums, sure, but it's still a damned good Thrash album.

I really don't like "Metallica" that much... Sad But True, Holier Than Thou, The God That Failed, Don't Tread on Me, and Struggle Within were all damned fine songs though.

I'm checking new live videos.. Can't believe they're playing Stone Dead Forever, The Prince, Blitzkrieg, Too Late Too Late, The Small Hours and other cover songs again..

Sad But True's bassline made me love that song so much more than I already did. Holier Than Thou and My Friend of Misery are also awesome. Especially since I know someone who fits the exact description the lyrics in both songs provide perfectly.
