The most anticipated villian.

Hmmm.... so we were going to get New Goblin,Sandman and Vulture. Sandman and vulture teaminig up at the end against Harry and Spiderman. It would have been an aerial battle for the ages. Harry vs Vulture. Does it make your toes curl?

It doesn't make my toes curl, but my stomach does churn at the mere thought.

Why not Blackie Drago?

Why?

I think people like Naite22 need to get a life and stop getting pissed off that Venom has fans.

Doc Ock doesn't get offended by Venom fans, and he sure isn't making a childish tirade against the character, or his fans.

So what have we learned today?

Doc Ock = One of the coolest, most mature posters in this forum (and on the SHH! community as a whole)

Naite22 = Hyperactive, immature idiot.

:)

As for me, the Symbiote (and to a fairly large degree also; Venom) is my main draw to this film. But the thing is... why do people have to have an anti-particular-character tirade? Look, Venom's my favorite Spidey villain, but that doesn't make me insanely biased. I'm also a hardcore Spidey fan, first and always, and I am LOVING Sandman in the flick, and being a B-list villain (When you consider the A-listers to be GG, Octopus and even Venom), I'm glad he's getting the exposure he deserves. I only hope that the Lizard, Rhino, the Shocker, Electro, Kraven, the Vulture, the Hobgoblin and Mysterio (among others) get equal respect.

I want to see all of Spidey's best villains, dammit!

Yeah, he needs to take a chill pill, relax, perhaps go for a walk.

Doc Ock is one of the better posters around these parts, go to any other area of the hype and you'll be attacked by rabid jackals.

Excellent comparison, this excellent analysis gets an A+.

You win!

OK well....I am excited to see all aspects of these villains. Seeing Harry's story come to a head and an end will be fun. Sandman will visually be amazing IMO. And Venom will be a great way to conclude the whole thing to a climax. It will be great movie.

It doesn't make my toes curl, but my stomach does churn at the mere thought.

Why?
Actually I was shocked when I found out he even got consideration to be in this particular film so soon.

Yeah I was literally sobbing, I shut all the curtains and cried in my bed. I sobbed for days when I found out that some old geezer in strange dance spandex with turkey feathers wasn't going to be one of the villains in SM-3. I mourned the fact that I would never see the 1 minute of Vulture being in the film, where he is quickly introduced, attempts to attack spidey and breaks a hip in the process.

Oh no, we could've had lame villains like the Lizard, pfft to Venom and the entire symbiote saga, and hell, screw GG2! To hell with the Hobgoblin, to hell with the possible return of Otto Octavius, or even Electro, or hell, even the Scorpion, no what we need is an old crusty fart who probably smells like mothballs and ritz crackers. Because simply there are no better villains out there! NUH-UH! Nope, negative, venom4life, WTF were you thinking?

But a day came when I stopped crying, I felt a new burst of energy in my chest, that someday that hope would arrive. I looked to the sky and saw a pigeon ****ting on the neighbors cars, I lol'd, slammed back a beer and waltzed down the street singing that I was walking on sunshine! Sunshine!!!!

In fact this poem comes to mind;

The most happiest man.......

Happiness is the most important
thing for you to achieve in your life
Happiness can not be gained
It is earned by your heart
Happiness can be found
When you are close to God and obeying his words
Happiness can be found
When you show your kindness to others
Happiness can be found
When you are nice to those you hate
Happiness can be found
When you help others
Happiness are the love and kindness
And learn to enjoy what ever comes along
Happiness is not far away from you
It is close to you heart
Happiness is serving God for all eternity
and once you fulfilled your wish
then you are the most happiest man.

With that I leave with a big smile, filled with new hope and that one day, we will get the Vulture! Here's to a happy time period between films, to the sequel, to the sky!

Oh man, thank you so much for that. After the day I've had, I needed that laugh  And thanks to you and DocLathropBrown for the kind words. You're pretty awesome peeps yourselves.

I love and have been anticipating every Spidey movie that's come out,but I've never been more happy, eager, excited and thrilled for Spider-man 3. The reason is like most...Venom. I got into the comics and grew up(like Topher Grace)on Mcfarlenes' Spider-man/Venom. I know he's not everyone's favorite, but far and away,he's probably the main reason I can't wait for this film. Honestly,I don't even need any other villians besides him. I also can't wait to see the symbiote. I like the idea of good, honest Peter Parker letting out his dark side. And as the films have gone on,the whle backstory with the Goblin,Peter,Harry,Norman;etc is great drama. Can't wait for that either. Sandman looks cool, but I've never really been interested in that character. Now,if the Lizard were in it,then that's a different story.
So,it goes like this...

1.Venom
2.The Symbiote
3. New Goblin
4. Sandman

Meh, I could post a crappy picture of Doc Ock to make a point, too.

Vulture could work very well as a minor villain, supported by much larger villains. Kinda like Venom in SM3.

Vulture is an idiot...get over it...Doc Ock would make Vulture his b*tch any day.

And to state my disagreement about your last line...Venom isn't a minor villain at all...New Goblin, Sandman and Venom are all the main villains...there's no minor villains nor minor plotlines in Spider-Man 3...the black symbiote progresses the story to show how the symbiote lets the dark side of Peter come out and he takes out his fustration against Harry Osborn, Sandman and then plays mind games with Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy...and until he rips of the symbiote, Venom emerges, which plays a huge part in the final battle...and, I don't think such a so-called "minor" villain would play such a big role in the final battle of a movie...but, if Venom didn't replace Vulture; yes, Vulture would just be a minor villain...because, well, he's old and won't be able to pull off a good fight...unless they have Vulture have the ability to suck the life out of people like in TAS.

I don't think I have to say the villain I'm anticipating most...

I really would not care one way or another about seeing Vulture any time soon, but if he were to make it, do you honestly think he would be portrayed as a weak ass frail old man that could not hold his own in a fight? Why would they do any of his villains like that. He would be a problem for Spidey just like anyone else. They would certainly write him as a formidable threat. Im all for seeing all his classics on the screen at some point. They all can hold their own against Spiderman.

It's not something I can 'get over', it's all a matter of opinion.

You were all calling Sandman 'lame' before he was announced, and your tune has changed now.

Not talking about the costume.

The picture represents him as being a grumpy old man. He has been represented better many times, looking incredibly creepy.

I found the Vulture creepy..although only once. I caught him hovering around a children's playground...*shivers*.

I was here before you, so how would you know what I thought about Sandman? And two, I did and still don't like the idea of Sandman as a main villain, but it's heck a lot better than Vulture.

you know where they messed up on Daredevil is KINGPIN. they butchered his character...I mean come on a black Kingpin??? WTF?!?!?!?!?!

anyways that would've been a great villain for maybe the 6th Spidey film to respectivley correspond the sequel number to the Sinister 6 and from 3-6 there would need to be some villain character developments. but think about it seeing Kingpin in all his glory bringing back villains we've seen and haven't seen in the movies. of course Kingpin would be the leader of the Sinister 6 but I can see the line up as being....Kingpin, Lizard, Doc Ock, Venom, Electro, and Sandman.

opinions....????

So your saying they butchered Kingpin's character by making him black?

of course i want to see VENOM!!!! but i also want to see SANDMAN!!! i wanna see how spidey is going to tackle sandman as reg. spidey and as sym. spidey! and i wanna see how the battle between spidey and venom goes! and of course spidey/peter fighting with new GG/harry!

so basically, i can't wait to see the whole enitre movie! and my comment was pointless and made no sense and was a waste of time :woot:

LESS THAN A MONTH!!!!!!!! SPIDER-MAN 3!!!!!!

Immature idiots there's many of on these boards... however I'm not one of them! I'm usually pretty mellow.... However (even though I'm looking forwards to seeing VENOM) some guys keep building the movie up as if there's nothing more to the movie than VENOM, and there definitly is. (keep that up and you're bound to get disappointed!) VENOM is just a surprise character! a damn cool one indeed, BUT a surprise character. How about appreciating this huge movie for something more then VENOM for a change!??? Is that to hard to grasp???:o

the movie for me is really seeing a hero get consumed by his darkside and fight to get back to being the hero he was! thats what i looked forward to the most!!

So your saying they butchered Kingpin's character by making him black?

uh yeah??? was there ever a black Kingpin in the comics???

i'm not racist if that's what your getting at but that's like having a mexican Peter Parker. we can name him after one of the members here Pedro Parkero/ El Hombre Arana

Well yea I agree Kinpin should have been white, but casting a black guy to play him isnt butchering his character.

^I actually liked black kingpin. I don't think a white actor could have done a better job.

Evil Peter is going to kick so much ass!

wouldn't a mexican peter parker being butchering???

or how about an asian Doc Ock???

or maybe a french Wolverine???

lame right??? I thought so...

for me to be a fan of the comic book movies the characters in the comics have to correspond with the characters on the silver screen as accuratley as possible (even though every comic character in the comic universe has been handled carelessly by Hollywood i mean look at Nick Fury played by David Hasselhoff in the 90's WTF???). I mean could you imagine if Storm was a white chic???

by the way wasn't Catwoman black in the comics??? I could be wrong but either they went back and forth with it or I don't know. Just a question.

but kingpin wasn't black :( not that theres anything wrong with that, but it does take away from the comics.

but i agree with your Evil Peter comment :O
