I never expected Joker 2 to make anything even remotely close to the first one and I've argued about it here a few times. The first one was a lightning in a bottle, it took everyone by surprise, it was fresh for the genre and one of those things where it's very difficult to replicate its success. The second never had a chance to make a billion, especially ever since they announced it would be a musical. It was also kind of obvious that it would be a forced cash grab from the beginning and with a director like Todd Phillips that was bound to somehow reflect in its overall quality.

However, I was expecting something close to 500 million, not a disaster of this magnitude.

I was at least thinking Gaga's fanbase would have boosted the box office some but clearly that wasn't a factor. I never expected this to do as well as the first one but I certainly didn't see this coming.

I didn't see either movie. Borderlands I still think it worst movie I saw this year. But Joker 2 and Megalopolis are 2nd and 3rd respectively. I guess Joker 2 I would call worse solely cause it's a cynical cash grab, while Megalopolis at least was a passion project. Even if it ended up a disaster

Oh yeah I forgot about Borderlands too. Yeah I’m not surprised if that one is worse than both.

The Penguin just keeps getting better and better each week. I know we are only three episodes in, but this has already surpassed HBO's Watchmen IMO as far as top-quality DC shows go.

Next week's episode looks like its going to be a great one too.

Oof, I forgot about Miller’s Girl. I didn’t see it (even though I love but actors) but premise seemed nauseating to me.

Miller's Girl feels like one of those movies written by screenwriters who think they are the most interesting people in the world.

Once again I struck out with my box office predictions

I honestly thought adding Gaga to the mix would guarantee some healthy numbers for Folie à Deux. Maybe not Joker numbers but definitely better than Morbius!

In fact, at the start of this year I thought Joker 2 and Deadpool/Wolverine might both finish in the same box office neighbourhood. Shows how much I know! To be fair I didn't expect the first Joker to do a billion either...

On a more positive note, Penguin Episode 3??
