The Naked Fun in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 61

I feel like most people confuse Predator with Commando and vice versa.

Which is funny because Predator is actually a commentary on Regan-era war movies because it uses that setup and flips it on its head with a badass alien hunter.
I've actually never seen Commando. That and Running Man are the only two of the more popular Arnold movies that I still haven't watched yet (after that we're getting into more obscure territory like Eraser and The 6th Day). I only just saw Conan the Barbarian for the first time about a month ago and whoa, was I not prepared for just how gory that movie was for the time it was released.

Commando and The Running Man also absolutely rule.

Why'd you post a screencap from an I Think You Should Leave sketch? :o

If I remember correctly there was a scene like this :o

Hot take, before my time when they originally aired, but I was watching the Ghostbusters and Beetlejuice cartoons on streaming and find them better than the films.

As iconic as the first Ghostbusters is, the cartoon and it's toyline are what made Ghostbusters so endearing to kids.

RGB still holds up. Amazing show and by far the most successful attempt at taking a popular movie and turning it into cartoon, while still being it's own thing.

It feels like Marvel is pushing Born Again more than it promoted Brave New World. Theyre really putting a lot of effort into getting people hyped for this one.

The first two Predator movies are interesting, because they were both basically inserting a Predator into a genre of movie with a star of that genre. The 80s action flick with Arnold in the first one, and a Lethal Weapon style cop movie (starring Danny Glover!) with the second one.
I like the second one better than the first. It had the better cast. :)

Arnold’s top four movies are:
1. Predator
2. Terminator 1
3. Conan
4. Running Man

That’s right. I don’t put T2 in the top 4.

Eh, I'm too tired to argue. :o You put the first one on there at least. But personally, not only do I think T2 is Arnold's best film but I also think it's his best performance.

The only thing I side eye you for is not putting Terminator as number one.

Granted, he had more lines in Predator, but he was FRIGHTENING in T1.

T1 is still the best movie in that franchise. That’s just a plain fact. :o

As a big Arnie fan, I don't think I'm able to give my Arnold's top four. I would have to break it down into my 80s selection and my 90s selection.

So if you had to pick between True Lies and Jingle All The Way, what do you select?
