Kindergarten Cop has perhaps some of the all time greatest Arnold lines:

Here’s another hot take about Arnold:

The Last Stand is one of his better movies. I rank it easily top 10.

I also find Raw Deal to be his most underrated gem.

Spider, I look up to you like the Punisher looks up to Cap.

But T2 over T1?

Reeeeeeaaally? LOL :sneeze:
I love both movies a lot, but in the end I think T2 is the more emotional movie. The ending when the Terminator sacrifices itself is incredibly effective. So it gets the slight edge from me.

I think of the movies on my list, Total Recall is the most underrated. I don't think it gets nearly the love it deserves

That's valid.

Main reason I give Terminator 1 the slight edge as we get older, is that I really like and appreciate the love story between Reese and Sarah in that one. What Reese sacrificed for the woman he loved and all that mushy stuff.

As far as underrated Ah-nuld movies, I'd put a request in for End Of Days. But yall not ready for that conversation. :o

I think last time I saw End of Days may have been when it was out in theaters. I should at some point give that movie a second look.

The love story in T1 is very well done. I got nothing but love for that movie as well! T1 and T2 are great films, it's a shame that they never kept that series going ya know. Just stopped at 2 and never revisited. Ever :o

Arnold top 5 off the top of my head:

Terminator 2: Judgement Day
The Terminator
Conan The Barbarian
Predator
Total Recall
Mine would be exactly the same as this. I never cared for him in a comedic role.

Yeah. T2 is emotional. Like the fact that Sarah treats Dyson, who is shown to be a kind family man, as cannon fodder whose life was worthless. There’s no reason that he couldn’t have sabotaged Skynet the next day at work. But no…she has to go and make sure that he gets killed so his kids grow up without a dad.

That’s the emotional beat that I got from it. But hey, we shed tears for the robot, but not for the actual black man with a wife and kids who were victims of a home invasion by an homicidal escaped mental patient. :o

You old softy!

Aahh, I miss another Arnie discussion!😿😭

Someone call me in real life if these are going on and I’ll drop whatever I’m doing (unless I happen to be having an Arnie discussion in real life).

One of my favourite days ever was around age 12 when I saw Terminator, Predator and Total Recall on the same day.

Total Recall has aged out a little, but Predator (my fave) and the 2 Terminators are still high on my all-time films list (along with Aliens which I saw for the first time very close to those).

I remember USA Network having “Afternoon with Arnold” where they’d show Conan the Barbarian, Terminator, and Running Man back-to-back-to-back.

It was glorious and my VHS was a running.

Hackman was an all time great. I consider him one of the 3 greatest actors to ever live.

French Connection, The Conversation, Crimson Tide, Unforgiven, Enemy of the State. He was transcendent.
RIP

Who’s your other two, pray tell?

You know whats crazy, literally a week ago I bought an obscure movie of his on amazon because it was cheap, Narrow Margin (I have a soft spot for obscure 80s/90s thrillers) and I really enjoyed it. And it prompted me to look up Hackman and see what he'd been up to these days and paparazzi had recently spotted him getting coffee or something and the man looked very healthy for a 95 year old.

Guy was an absolute legend, rest in piece, dude. Although him, his wife AND his dog died? Obviously something went wrong and this wasnt natural causes.
