And yeah, considering this multiverse stuff and variants, they’re definitely taking cues from the 2015 story and having Battleworld patched together with different earths.

Don’t know how I feel about the medieval vibes it’s giving though.

I mean, Doom creates Battleworld and traditionally Latveria has a Medieval aesthetic, so it makes sense Battleworld would as well

So I'm back to having to avoid significant spoilers for months before a film again? Great.

It’s a very hard job. No universe apart from the MCU from the end of Phase 1 to the end of Phase 3 has had consistency and regular strong individual projects (more Phase 3) that also contributed well to the wider universe.

And the guy who oversaw that with all the accumulated experience and success then went to oversee a much weaker era. A lot of luck and circumstance has to go your way on top of having the right tools. Good luck to whoever takes over on Star Wars.

Yes, certainly a very difficult job but in a way there's less pressure than Kennedy had since Star Wars is damaged and there's more room to go upwards and less room for disappointment. Still hard but that's to be expected with any top position. The most important part is probably getting a flagship story/setting/time going again, like the sequel trilogy should have been if they didn't fumble it. I think they need a flagship core and then branch out with other things on top of that to have a chance to regain the status Star Wars used to have.

Wow just saw the leaks and eventhough Im skeptical of these new Avengers movies what a way to create some early hype.

I know it's just concept art and won't be a hundred percent accurate anyways but man this is some really exciting stuff regardless.

Love seeing Kamala and Jen back and like most have already said the Doom design is flawless. Tchalla looks great too and weirdly enough alot like Damson Idris which is pretty interesting.

I not familiar with the comics or any of this Battleworld stuff but a GOT/medieval inspired realm within the MCU sounds dope asf IMO.

Also, Peter hanging out with White Vision and The Young Avengers is an interesting dynamic.

They've been trying to make a Sgt. Rock movie for decades so this really shouldn't surprise anyone.

Clayface is a little more unusual. On the surface it feels like Sony nonsense but the script must be really good. I trust Gunn.

I like the idea of two DC films a year. One a huge blockbuster and the other a smaller film.

Doom could be the best design ever seen in a CBM and, while that would be nice to see, it still wouldn't make me come around to him being played by RDJ.

Exciting enough that that it would make sense to have released these on purpose, especially given there are barely any films before/between the Avengers event films to drum up hype like Marvel had in the past.

Yeah, this might've been purposeful. If it wasn't, I hope the concept artist isn't punished too severely, after all, this leak is just about the only thing that has created hype for these upcoming Avengers flicks.

If RDJ were behind the mask the whole time and his voice wasn’t recognisable, I might consider …allowing it. Otherwise as dumb as ever and it will be really annoying to see his face and hear his voice as Victor, way before he gets a shot at converting anyone with a performance. If RDJ isn’t also coming back as Stark as part of the deal, they’ve likely F’d up.

Yep, there’s a very long time till a trailer for any of this stuff, and the MCU built its unique brand of hype (a lot easier when audiences were positive throughout and well-received linked films were coming out multiple times a year) from people building it up in the months and years before a trailer.

No external hype till Doomsday trailer time and the films will be smaller than they could be even if the trailers are a huge success. If this wasn’t planned, they should at least be able to see the positive effect of it compared to any other plans they might have had.

Oh, I aint arguing the creative is gonna be good. That's another beast altogether. But good drawings are good drawings.

The art looks cool, and the actual artwork is outstanding. Especially Doom on the throne. I just highly doubt anything we've seen is something that'll be reflective or anything we actually get. Hell, some of it wouldn't shock me if it was what they did post Quantumania but pre-RDJ announcement.

Doom's design looks cool. Other than that nothing of those leaks really excite me. Plus in most cases with Disney/Marvel what we end up seeing on-screen doesn't look as good as it does in the concept art anyway.

Yes, in reality we are gonna see that mug and gimmick annoying the crap out of us.

I can only imagine he either (additionally) reprises Stark at some point or there is some link to it, as RDJ isn’t worth anywhere near that amount in a different role. It’s not exciting for the majority of fans (judging by here and other fan sites I've checked) and casuals I've mentioned it to have gone from initial excitement at RDJ's return to "...oh" or "...er, why?" when they hear it's for a different non-Stark villain role.

Spending a fortune on the gimmick of getting all the old actors who’ve played any historical Marvel role is understandable as a one off for Secret Wars. RDJ could in that context legit be worth a fortune returning as Stark, while adding enough to the expected box office to justify casting a different strong actor as Doom who might be prepared to hang around for the longer term.

I guess the Doom concept pics reminded people how great a villain Doom can be and forget the RDJ circus for a little while.
