Dont get me wrong, I respect their opinions, but saying talking animals would make the film better is stupid. They may be professionals, presidents, generals, God himself, whatever, they still sound like 8 year olds. Sorry.

you claim that the people on the other forum are being narrow minded because they're actually OPEN the idea of talking animals then you go and say that they sound like 8 year olds???

you need to take a long look in the mirror because you're ACTING like an 8 year old.

I insist fans alone cant make a movie become a box office success, you need general audiences for this.

again, Chronicles of Narnia is a great example of balancing fantasy and realism while still pulling in a decent box profit at the box office.

lol thanks. But it's the truth. There is not one movie out there where everyone loves the direction its going in and have nothing to say about it. There's always gonna be some that hate it and some that love it.

Someone who says "one of the reasons this movie will suck is because it doesnt have talking animal" (similar words) must be ridiculed to the core. Only a kid would say something like that, what makes it worst is that (according to Dorky) they are not kids, but professionals. That makes it worst. Had they been kids I would have not ridiculed them.

Im glad they are not in charge of this movie, nor are they part of anything DB related.

you're simply not reading properly if that's what you think. that particular poster didn't say the movie sucks because of no talking animals. he simply said that talking animals shouldn't have been a problem with today's technology. you're obviously twisting his words around.

But see talking animals isn't really a dumb idea, it's unique. 60 years ago or so, a book was put out with a guy dressed up like a bat, 60 years later, it's considered to be one of the best comic book films of all time. The whole talking animal thing would not have hurt the movie at all, given if it were done properly. Fox didn't pay attention to those aspects, they were only concerned with hero, love interest, villain. Everything else was thrown out the window.

you really think this movie is being aimed towards people who are 30 and up??? if that trailer is any indication of how the movie will be, you'll be hard pressed to find someone 30 y/o or older that is willing to give up their time and money to see this flick unless their kids drag them.

If anything this movie by using a formula is appealing to pre-teens and younger. I am also too lazy to justify talking animals, but I will say in THIS rendition of DB it wouldn't work. However a DB movie could easily make talking animals.

What you fail to realize is even though the talking animals aren't relevant to the plot, there presence alone just further immerses you in the world of DB. The multiple aliens shown in Star Wars didn't serve too much of a purpose as well, but they immersed you in the world of the film and it didn't take you out of the experience. Anyone can make a film set in a futuristic city, we've seen dozens of films like that, but make it a futuristic city with multiple civilizations other than humans, and you're on the path to creating something that stands out. I'm not dissing your opinions, but if you're gonna boast an argument, or make a point, don't contradict yourself in the process.

i saw them already and they were pretty bad, but at least they have the excuse of limited budget, creativity, and talent. oh wait......this movie can use that excuse for being sub par also! nevermind.
