The Dark Knight The new and improved Mr. Reese thread

You mean Harrison ford, who, before playing Han Solo had a memorable role in the film American Graffiti?

nice try, though...

The same way a no name actor became oh I dont know Indiana Jones/Han Solo.

Not a valid comparison as no one had even heard of Star Wars and certainly didn't have any idea who Han Solo was. Whereas the Riddler, if he is in the next flick, will be in the sequel to one of the biggest films of all time.

Let's remember that Mr. Reese said he knows who the real batman is but we never see him actually say the name in the movie. He knows that Fox is making stuff for batman but we don't know if Reese actually knows it's Bruce Wayne. Reese could think it's a different person.

i agree. i just got back from watching tdk again, and now im sure that reese is not the riddler! which is ok with me because i dont want to see the riddler in Nolan's universe. he's just a guy with a super secret and thats it. I think
the guy about to turn the key on the boat is the riddler, lets make a thread on him now!!!:hehe:

Hmm, nah. I hope its not the case. Besides, if he already knows Batman's identity, then where do you really take the character?
You mean if he's The Riddler? Easy, he can set up a bunch of puzzles for Batman and stuff and lets say if batman doesnt solve them on time, riddler gets one step closer to revealing his identity.

I'll **** as soon as you tell me what leap in common sense occured for anyone to believe that a character who was portrayed as a completely spineless lawyer played by an actor whos previous role before this movie was "CAOC Analyst #2" in the movie Iron Man will somehow become a complete criminal mastermind and will somehow develop an obsessive compuslive desire to leave clues....

Lawl.

And he was in Iron Man?

So far in Nolans world every villians name has stayed intact. I highly doubt out of no where they are going to just change the Riddlers name. Its a cool little thing to get people thinking but theres no way Mr. Reese was smart enough or had enough balls to become a Batman villian. Not saying the Riddler is mr. tough guy but he definately doesn't squeal and put his tail between his legs when hes a target. The guy just showed no characteristics of the Riddler.

I agree with BatZiLLa54.

Did you see when Engel was hammering him with questions he had no idea what to do or say. Same way when he was talking to Fox. No way he's the Riddler.

You score 100 points.

Because Anthony Michael Hall is an attention-****e.
A year ago, he knew he was only playing Mike Engel, but instead when asked about the role, he said
"oh, um, gee, Warner Bros. will kill me if I said anything, it's such a big role!"
Jackass.

Not only that but he said his role was a million dollar secret, seriously, wtf.

What leap in common sense occured for anyone to believe that a character who was portrayed as a completely spastic inventor played by an actor whos previous role before this movie was "Ace Ventura Pet Detective" will somehow become a complete criminal mastermind and will somehow develop an obsessive compuslive desire to leave clues...

You notice he was wearing a purple tie the whole movie?

No i dontthink having a gay riddler would be a good idea. NO OFFENCE

By that you mean a zany campy Riddler?
Jim Carrey was awesome as the riddler, it was fun.

lets not speak of the Schumacher films

reese obviously should be the riddler, he solved the greatest riddle of them all.

Read your post....carefully, now...and understand why you fail...

You guys are right. Reese should totally be The Riddler. He out-acted Bale in TDK, and commanded the screen whenever he was on. In fact, whenever he wasn't on the screen, I just kept thinking "When are we going to see what Reese is doing? I don't care what Joker is saying."

lmao

I think Reese's role was done when he had that little grin after he saw it was Bruce who saved him. Now he really owes it to him to keep his mouth shut. I really enjoyed that moment. And one of the funniest bits of the movie was between him and Fox.

"Do you think I should go to the hospital?"
