He was fine as the moron though some of his scene ran a little too long.
Let me be rephrase that, then. I don't mind the idea of Hemsworth doing comedies but his character was nothing more than a vacant piece of meat who got nothing to do except act stupid and get possessed by another character. Hell, most of Hemsworth's acting later on in the movie isn't even for HIS character! He probably only had a ball on set because he somewhat got to play a villain for once. That'd be cool, too, if his character was MEANT to be a villain! And him playing the GB's secretary would've been fine had he not been portrayed as a moron! In short, he got robbed in more ways than one.
I was trying to ignore that example since that was just a cameo. This was a major supporting role. There's a difference.I feel you, man. Chris usually only takes on meaty roles that allow him to show his true acting chops, rather than simply make him look like a moron.

Why the HELL did Chris Hemsworth even sign on for this mess if he knew he was gonna be made a fool of to his fans? As a Marvel Studios fan who enjoys his role as Thor I was insulted. Hell, he was far funnier in Cabin in the Woods, FFS!
You guys cut out the good part of the picture.
Huh? He's totally showing off his 6 pack.
Gay men everywhere were outraged at Heath Ledger's insensitive portrayal of homosexual cowboys in The Dark Knight Returns.
I've always thought Paul Rudd had the right kind of humor for Ghostbusters . Wouldn't mind seeing Donald Glover , Jake Johnson, Dule Hill, Anna Ferris , Zoey Deschnel ( not sure how she spells it). Just off the top of my head
Donald Glover, Paul Rudd - gold right there! I also like the idea of Terry Crews as the handyman/non believer 'just in it for a pay cheque', totally a winston of this era. Throw these into McCarthy and mcKinnon and we got a team.
anybody pick it up today I did not get the digital one that came out a few weeks early so I have not seen this 'extended' version.
