How could you possibly know my 'true colors' without even knowing what context I was using or with what intent?


Damn I remember when people could legit make fun of something and not be thought to have a black heart and a hateful soul, espeecially when that's not even the case.

Sure, people can rag on the Ninja Turtles figures and their toy likenesses but God forbid somebody **** around and crack on the morally force field guarded snowflakes that are the new Ghostbusters. :loco:

Do any of you guys have children?
 
Sure, it's fine to make fun of silly action figures, but your comments aren't made in a vacuum - they are made in the context of your general attitude toward this film throughout the thread, and in that context, they just don't look good.
 
That's understandable.

I mean I'm not a fan of the concept of this movie as evidenced by a number of posts but feeling outrage over me making fun of TOYS is a bit silly, no?


I'm still willing to see what the trailer has to offer even though I doubt it'll appeal to me
 
You dismiss the issues that Feig and Leslie Jones lash out at, and then make a post that is exactly what is upsetting them.
 
Except I was making fun of toys on a damn message board and not Tweeting them and harassing them for making the movie

Newsflash to them and everybody else that gets so worked up defending these poor ladies and their feelings, they aren't the first actors and creators to be made fun of or had less than complimentary things said, serious or jokes, about them.

Leslie Jones in particular isn't very sweet-tongued herself and again, it's not like I would seriously demean these women so that they would need to see it but even to those who do, it's part of the territory of their profession. All entertainers get hecklers, they're not the only ones

He is still trying to use the toys as a cover up. Classy. Not fooling anyone though.

I've been criticizing the developments of this movie since I saw this thread.

I'm sticking around because the posters were a good look and waiting to see what else they put around this terrible cast to see how much it feels like a franchise I grew up liking.

I'm certainly not here to coddle your internal sensitivities and mask my opinion just so you can live in a world of rainbows and high fives for everything that gets put out.

Some of the toys looked off to me, I tongue-in-cheek **** on them and you got offended. 2016, ladies and gents. Unbelievable how worked up people get.

If I used hateful language or said something legitimately foul, I could see the outrage. This entire thread all I've said was that the casting seemed gimmicky, I didn't like it, I expect it not to do well and be a crappy movie and make fun of some toys.

It's a wonder some of you can survive even operating in society how worked up you get over inane talk of a comedy movie

Are you offended because I said the lesbian looking one? Her look is that of many lesbians or stereotypes of lesbians. And of course, she is an actual lesbian. Blame the damn costume/ wardrobe/ stylist for making her look like a stereotype instead of just appearing how she usually does. That's on them not me for reinforcing a stereotype.


How very uncouth and offensive of me for describing her character as not only how she appears but what the actress actually identifies with.

I am a terrible terrible person for calling a lesbian actress who is playing a character with a stereotypically lesbian haircut ...lesbian looking.

Gimmie a ****ing break. You're really ridiculous if that sentence in particular is the one that upset you
 
Your thoughts on how the toys look pretty much sum up your thoughts on the actresses. And you keep using your comments towards the toys as justification and trying to act like in reality you're not really talking about the actresses themselves. We get it and can see through it so.

Or the toys deviated enough from the actual actresses themselves that they reminded me of other **** :loco:

The actual Leslie Jones has an ugly face but she doesn't look like Slimer.

Kriste Wiig is pretty attractive to me AND the kicker . . . I'm a fan of her!

McCarthy, bleh. She wishes she was as talented as even an eccentric version of Emma Thompson.

Even if I was talking about the actresses, which I would do and not hide it for your creampuff comfort, that's what this ****ing board is for! It's to give opinions and share thoughts. Guess what? Not everybody is going to compliment a project that you want to champion! It's ok.

Damn people, why does the spectrum of criticism have to fall completely your way for you to just accept that there are varied opinions out there?

Not one time have I been hurt or outraged by those of you defending this project because that's your right and guess what? I don't have to keep my mouth shut and be silenced just because you presume your personal feelings or political opinions give you the right to act like a damn fascist.

Until I break rules about commenting on this movie, I will say whatever it is I feel like and none of your intolerance towards mine and others opinions will dissuade me.

It's almost like some of you forget what the purposes of these sites are.


The again a poster with the name Borg in it, I'm not surprised that he or she might feel we all need to have one hive like mind. Must be a great reality. :whatever:

She's lesbian looking because the designer of the character gave a lesbian actress a stereotypical lesbian haircut so forgive me for having this seed planted in my head that the character is lesbian looking.

I am obviously a judgmental ******* for thinking such. The people involved had NOTHING to do with me thinking that, I assure you. I need to go back to college and take Gender Studies so that I can learn the correct way to assess this character and her implications

I'm not I just refuse to let some intolerant mindsets dictate what I say and think. Getting judged by your weak-minded lame fascist mentality will make many nice people appear unpleasant.

It's ridiculous that some of you expect me to have the same opinion as you and if not, well then I'm obviously hateful, etc. etc. People like that are a MAJOR reason there's so much dissent between human beings, ever since I said I didn't like the direction they took the film people have been trying to paint me as this or that instead of just accepting a different viewpoint and it's sickening to be frank.

Not once have I judged any poster here for supporting this movie. I may have judged the creators, the writers but never have I came at anybody with some personal slander or false identifier.

The fact that some here have done that to me just shows what HYPOCRITES people are in their fight for...whatever it is they think they are fighting for.

Judging my character basked on an opinion is more bigoted and wicked than anything I've said, none of which have been directed towards anybody here so keep on keepin on, being hypocrites

You used "man face" and "lesbian looking one" to describe action figures based on female characters. That pretty much tells the story of what you are all about and what kind of person you are. At least own up to it instead of making all these excuses and being defensive for being called out on it (and you clearly ARE being defensive about it).
 
I did not know that Kate McKinnon is a lesbian. So thank you, Galactus10, for at least being a marginally useful person and teaching me something new today.
