Enough, the lot of you! You're upsetting Hinata!

The main issue for me is that it looks like a spoof of Ghostbusters, and that most the jokes here are just not funny. They really needed a trailer that showed a mix of strong comedy and the horror elements. Disappointing.

My only issue with this trailer concerns the marketing decision to mention the original films in the text lead-in, as I think it's going to lead to confusion and false expectations about the film.

I'm not a huge fan of any of these ladies' comedy (although I do recognize that they are very funny and talented even if I'm not the target audience for their brand of humor per se), so what's drawing me to this movie is the story, and what we saw looked good enough that I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Visually it looks good. I like the look of the ghosts, suit, and new car. I just don't really like any of these ladies for the roles, except for the lead girl who's name escapes me.

I liked this trailer for the most part. The visuals are fantastic, and beyond what I thought they would achieve. And for the most part, I thought the humor was okay. Still not my cup of tea, but not terrible either.

As someone who gave this alot of flack (and is still worried that, overall, it won't work).... I think I'm willing to give this a shot. At least, moreso than before. I still need some more convincing before I decide I'll see this in theaters.

for me, this may get a netflix watch at best if reviews are good

Meh, very Vacation to National Lampoon's Vacation scenario here... and at least the latter had to balls/smarts to keep it in a rough continuity.

The trailer even lies to you right off the bat, leans towards being sequel and then the director bluntly states otherwise in the articles about said trailer.

McKinnon looks awesome though... all of the other jokes didn't land one bit.

The director probably wants it to be a reboot and so it is a reboot but sony are aware that making it sound like a sequel may get some people interested

Looks so bad. Scooby Doo bad. But visuals looks nice, so that's something right?

We're in the minority!

OK I'm nervous to post my opinions it was alright. The effects looked great but like a lot of feigs films the humour seemed to pass me by.

I'm glad McCarthy isn't playing to stereotype as a lot thought she was and I'm not keen on what seems to be shot for shot remake scenes with gross out elements ( yes I know gb had this but not to this level Peter was slimed because he was attacked not puked on) or ripping off young Frankenstein jokes

But I do like the blonde character and some red looks superb. I'm not a fan of the people behind this but the trailer has made me think it could be alright nothing compare to the original but alright

But can we be told if it is connected or not because the start of that trailer really really wants to make you think it is and if not that low of the marketing for a bait and switch

Vacation was one of the worst movies of last year, so this better be nothing like that

I did like the trailer, even if most of the humor didn't really work for me. Honestly not a huge fan of the originals either, but i'm going to give it a chance. Also re-watch the first one, it's been ten years!

I honestly think this is going to be a Men in Black 3 situation where the film itself is better than critical reception to it suggests, with general audiences enjoying what it has to offer and making it a financial success and the start of a new iteration of this franchise.

Visually I liked it. This film franchise needed a sequel, not a reboot. That is what fans have been waiting for. This may be successful with a new generation, but it isn't for the original fans. I don't know whats so hard to figure out here Sony. Pass the torch to a new generation of busters with help from the originals. It doesn't need to be an all male/female/black/white lineup. But the best lineup that works for comedic chemistry. I'd take Pratt, Hill, Tatum, and Wigg any day over this. But that's just me. I was really rooting for this to be good, and I know there's still a chance it could be, but I doubt it.

At first, with the whole 30 years ago thing, I thought they were gonna keep the continuity, but I guess not. So the trailer makes it looks like it's a female remake of Ghostbusters. The black character joins the team probably half way through. They fight a seemingly innocent ghost in a school/library and it becomes scary. It's a remake, now with women. But I did laugh, it looks, visually speaking, really nice and colorful. It looks super fun and funny, but it's just a remake. I'll wait till rental.

Looks boring, and way too "carbon-copyish". And seriously, can you think of a more anticipated gag than the slap after it's no longer necessary?

And I hate the attempt to pay respect to the original with the title card at the beggining. Want to respect? make a sequel, not a reboot. Expand, don't replace with the updated version...

The production values were the best part of the trailer, the movie definitely looks really good visually. So far the humor seems on the generic comedy side and not very Ghostbusters-like.

I'm still hoping for the best, but I'm getting a very meh feeling here.

Looks much better than I expected... but the climax is gonna be another giant city battle? -.-

The trailer didn't really sway me in one strong direction or the other. I felt that the majority of the jokes fell flat and that the way the trailer was edited lacked a certain punch.

Its unfortunate that the trailer has to start out referencing the original classic when its not attached to it in any way, I mean tug on the nostalgia heart strings if necessary, but here it came off as extremely forced. I have been an avid supporter of this film, but if this is the best they could do with the footage they have it may not be a good sign.

Personally, I was against any idea of continuing the franchise

Old Ghostbusters making a third? No thank you
Sequel with a new generation? Probably not gunna work
Total Reboot? F**k no

but here we are, so yes, this is definitely not for the fans

Well, let me preface my thoughts by saying that I saw the Original Ghostbusters films in the theater back when Bustersmania actually happened and I loved the cartoon as a kid. I was big fan of it in the 80s so I'm biased.

I was really grooving on the trailer in the first few shots which call back to the original film but after the "new team" title card, in all honesty, there was a part of me expecting and hoping to see the iconic four from the original , and then I remembered that Ramis is no longer with us and that it isn't gonna be the guys I loved and grew up with.

Ultimately, while I found the trailer to be a bit underwhelming and the humor not that funny, I realize this is for a new generation. If the reviews are good i'll check it out . I like all the actresses comedians anyway outside of the film but I wait for word of mouth.

I didn't hate it, but I'm still indifferent to it. Let's see how the reception is.

This is certainly going to be an interesting ride.
