It doesn't deserve a chance. Do not go see this thing. Please.

Why, I found stuff funny in both trailers. Why shouldn't I give it a chance?

Because ghostbusters shouldn't be remade. If you can't understand that, I have no sympathy.

this movie is being made by sony, the rectum of Hollywood

That alone is the reason why I have zero faith in this movie. Nothing against Wiig, Feig, Leslie Jones or the rest of the cast and crew

Saw the second trailer. Just terrible. I like absolutely nothing about it. And I adored the first film and the animated series.

Rowan's final form is a lot cooler when it's fully rendered. They didn't do too bad in making a soundstage look like Times Square.

The few seconds of the horror vibe, at the beginning of the Trailer, seemed promising. Though I don't know how scary you can make things, when all the Ghosts look like they escaped from a cartoon.

At this point, they have a better shot at the box office slapping a CGI Scooby Doo, and calling it a Mistery Machine reboot

i see a good movie in there. but the trailers are very bad.

I mean, I'll honestly go check it out just to see how it is. If the reviews don't tear it apart something may be up.

Meh. I don't have any hate for this movie as some do, but nothing I've seen from it makes me want to watch it.

if they didn't want to have a connection to the old movies why use the theme in this trailer? desperate move imo

I was hoping for a good movie I got nothing against the cast I love McKinnon and Wiig but this just looks awful

I actually feel bad for them I know they didn't set out to make a terrible movie but it happens

Of they're going to tear this one a new a-hole. I have no doubt about that.

Man do I hate Leslie Jones, totally not funny at all.

I actually didn't mind when she was cast. I thought this was a good chance to see her play against type from what I've see on Saturday Night Live. But nope, she's basically playing Leslie Jones.

Yep she's just playing her obnoxious not funny self, very SNL.

The second one is a vast improvement over the first. That said it still just looks meh.

Can't help but feel like the one line from Leslie Jones was put in as a shot at some of the trolls.

lets be honest for a second here, if we were getting this instead, people would be singing its praises

Enjoyed this trailer much more than the first. I'm gonna see it cause I'm curious, but its not like this will ruin Ghostbusters for me on the whole. Sure I would have loved a true sequel, but I'm more so indifferent about how this film effects me, which is kind of odd actually.

Peep the dislikes on the new trailer. Damn.

:lmao:

seriously, the majority of this thread have moved past the morons who are still *****ing about this so why try and start it again

aside from a few, people dont give a crap if its male, female, 2 dogs a little person and a monkey they just want a decent film which so far with both trailer this doesnt seem to be

I liked the beginning of the second trailer, starting off creepy and horror movie like and then the guy talking tells the women ghostbusters he thinks they can handle it (and their reaction). That was probably the best and most inspired bit in the whole trailer.

The problem is everything else was either generic, obvious and lazy at best or outright awful at worst.

Why can't I not think this movie looks good? Why do I have to "support" it because women deserve more female lead movies and this technically gives them one? That is what a majority of the "backlash against the backlash" is arguing, that you shouldn't rail against this movie because "its not for you" and "but a little girl might like it". Devin Faraci's takedown of Angry Video Game Nerd is pretty much that viewpoint.

But what if I just don't think it looks very good? Am I allowed to say that without having to feel bad about it or having "soft sexism" assigned to me?

Why can't we talk about movies without it becoming a political culture war wedge issue?
