Well, it's not hard to disagree with him when people are acting with such vitriol you'd save for a rapist or something. And your childhood being raped doesn't count.

So hitting a dislike button, and making a comment, is the same kind of vitriol you would give to a rapist?

ok....

It's been more than that, man. Come on.

Eh, I disagree with him. He keeps going back to the gender thing like that's the entire reason why his trailer was disliked so much. If he made a great trailer that spoke to the fans, it would've shut up all of the haters, but instead, it was a horrible trailer that didn't match the tone of the original, and he keeps throwing fuel on the fire and acting like it's our fault that his movie looks bad.

Basically this. Anyone whose been reading this thread knows how I defended this film and critiqued the sexism of certain posters. I wanted this film to do well, I was on board with the premise. Then that s*** trailer was released, and my mind was blown by how bad this movie looks. I'm really hoping the film is better than what the trailer suggests.

At least McCarthy admitted that the trailer wasn't great.

Feig needs to stop pointing fingers. It makes him look even worse than his already horrible trailer.

Feig says he isn't concerned with race or gender but he actively props up one gender in all his movies. Isn't that sexist...

LOL, Feig is going the way of Josh Trank
Yeah, I agree, which is sadder, since he's made a few critically praised films. Trank just made one.

But it looks like Feig is going to point fingers at the audience, whereas Trank pointed fingers at the figure heads(behind the scenes). It's a bit different, but I do agree to a certain extent.

Based on comments and discussions I've been in here before the answer is no it's not. Apparently racism and sexism is only a one way street.....:o:o

Yup surprised me too lol oh well.

Trank made one good film, then fell apart.

Feig has a credible history as a director, producer, and writer. If his next film is good, then he's safe since it is one mark on a so far credible filmography. If it was one bad film after a couple/several good to great films, you're out - many people in Hollywood (including, although nowhere near the same Spielberg ('1941')) would be out of business by now. If this is just his first in a string of misses then he'll disappear. Right now we're looking at this being the polar opposite from last summer ('Spy' - strong box office and remarkably high critic reviews) so it will be seen in the industry as a horrible fluke.

i figured when sony left any of the racist or sexiest comments up on the trailer but deleted any that were just plain criticisms that was the back up plan if the movie failed

I am all for an all female Ghostbusters team.

But why does their movie have to suck? Why does the dialogue have to suck? Why does the "humor" have to be horribly written? Why do the characters have to be walking cartoon stereotypes (Leslie Jones I am looking at you).

Surely women deserve better than this?

Several that I made have clearly been removed :csad:

Found this on Twitter and I am rolling...

Or he knows his strengths.

How can that then not be said for every other director that casts men in dominant roles and women in stereotypical roles? Feig is sexist. But, it's not cool to label a person as sexist, racist, ageist, etc if they do so against the majority. Only the majority deserve shaming.

So now Fieg is also sexist? Man I can't keep up.
