The New Ghostbusters - Part 8

You'd think Taylor Swift and/or Kelly Clarkson would be considered for the theme given the direction they'd be going.

I wonder, if I don't like the cover version of the song, will that be ok since a white guy is involved with the song? maybe because Missy Elliot is also included, that will automatically make me both a racist and woman-hater? I am sure the internet will tell me.

Wow, Judd Apatow is an idiot.

This movie isn't going to suck because of Trump, it's going to suck because it's poorly made and because of some of the leads.

It just flat out looks like a terrible movie. Pixels looks like the Godfather next to this.

Fallout Boy remaking the Ghostbusters theme?

:funny:

This entire project is a joke, the most cringeworthy attempt at a blockbuster in history, and that's saying something.

Fallout Boy LMAO

Ecto Cooler acquired. Life is good and all this mess surrounding the movie was worth it.

considering Ray Parker Jr stole the song from Huey Lewis and is notoriously difficult to work with, I figure Sony paid him just for the rights and to jog on

Just saw a short international trailer/spot. My god Leslie Jones, do you have to SCREAM EVERY LINE.

New International Trailer

Not going lie, the part with the mannequin both made me laugh and freaked me out.

She doesn't though...they just keep showing the parts where she is extremely upset/scared/angry. It's like they think that's her only appeal or something.

Yeah, there was a pretty obvious cut there, in the trailer.

Of course they do, it's the mentality of the higher up executives . Ahh the sterotype comes from somewhere so let's push the big sassy black women it's ignorant and stupid

They do it with everything why we have the loud black women, the down beaten geek, the stupid jock it's what they think Joe public eats up

Hell last October I went to Disney in Orlando and agreed to do on of the focus groups while I was there, I was asked what was my favourite Star Wars film and how did I relate to my fav character

I told them I didn't have one as I wasn't a big fan of the series

The guy running the group just looked at me like I had two heads and said but your at the park on your own and wearing a geek shirt ( I had a shirt with a spoof skeletor baseball team snake mountain marauders) are you not into Star Wars

I told him no, he just shook his head in disbelief before asking the next guy

lmao
but it's true. not everyone is star wars fan, almost like it's a cult. if you say no that's what you will get, I guess similar things goes in Hollywood when they ask actors are they are fans. I think God forbid if they say no. It's almost like you killed their puppy.

Everytime someone asks "who you gonna call" regarding this movie, I feel like the kids in Ghostbusters II screaming "He-Man!"

"You are a disgrace to your nerd brothers"

:woot:

Wait... Fall Out Boy is remaking the theme?

Okay, up until this point, I've been mostly indifferent to this film. But now I just have to say, f*** this garbage.

My favorite gag is still the dragon on Jones's shoulder.

Especially if they keep that really harsh cut in the final film. Sarcasm aside, I've yet to feel anything from any of these trailers.

there is a dividing line im seeing

a lot of the vitriol seems to be coming from people who weren't even ALIVE when the original film was released, much less saw it in the theater

Im 37, saw the original, owned it on VHS, huge GB Fan

I have nothing but love for this, I dont understand how a movie that isnt even released yet has aggravated people so

What does seeing the original in theaters have to do with anything?

just something Ive been noticing in various conversations here, other forums, and social media

The vitriol is about as funny as things like the IGN video where some guys rant about other trailers that deserve more dislikes than the Ghostbusters trailer.
