Clearly...from what I saw at Walmart last week.

Guess those 3 empty pegs of $20 figures were bought by angry fans who are currently burning them in effigy with flames of their destroyed childhoods.

And speaking someone who as a little girl who had a Death Star playset next to my dollhouse, and a Skeletor figure driving my Barbie car...yes, we play with Star Wars and superhero toys too.

Marvel Legends figures are collectibles that cost upwards of $20...a parent who just wants to buy a regular action figure for under $10 are usually out of luck if they want to buy a female character. They just aren't there.

Watch what happened when this guy took his daughters to Target after Guardians of the Galaxy was released:

Yeah, it's a problem. It's been getting better...but it's still a problem.

I wouldnt gage one random walmart though on if toys are selling, not too mentio seeing those toys up close at toy r ys for that price is a joke. You would have to pay me $20. The other ones from diamond select of the old movies are worth the price tag though.

As a modest kind of passing by fan of ghostbusters Im torn because I want this to bomb bit then I want it to be a hit because the die hard fans demanded a ghostbusters 3 for years and this is what they get. I hope it fails more so we can let the
Franchise rest in peace finally.

Everywhere I read people mistrust Aykroyd comments on the movie, how ironic the effect this is having (generating mistrust in sites that usually have a cautiously optimistic)

I imagine he was contractually forced to give a positive opinion, and such an exagerated claim (nobody, even people that think that this might be good, buys that it has more laughs than the original) was his way of protest.

The irony is that if Ackroyd had bashed it, they'd be hailing him as a hero right now. Instead he's a washed-up sellout. Oh, fans...

Of course he's going to overpraise it...he's in it, he's getting paid. You'd be naive to think otherwise. But honestly, if I were involved in the original movie and watched how vile the online tanturm has gone on about this...I'd be supporting the hell out of it too. It's just ridiculous at this point.

Maybe you were just at a random Toys R Us and the toys looked better everywhere else?

Hey...I didn't buy them. Not really interested in GB toys. But got a laugh when I saw it that cleaned out, considering how many people are freaking out over it and took the picture.

It's pretty reasonable and expected that he is going to be suportive, it's just that the claim that it has "more laughs than the original" sounds very exagerated, even if he liked the movie a lot. Reminds me of the Simpsons when Bart forged the A+

Shia Labeouf said during the Revenge of the Fallen press tour that it was Michael Bay's best film, only for it to be deemed the worst until Age of Extinction came along.

When it comes to the opinion of someone who is involved, it means nothing.

Yes, surprisingly there's very few actors who, before a movie even comes out, will say "oh yeah, this movie is gunna be dog s**t"

My point is that he is so over the top with those comments that they seem sarcastic.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I went to 2 Wal Mart's, 2 Target's, a Toys R Us and 2 Fred Meyer's and all the Ghostbusters merch looks like that picture (as I was looking for merch myself).

They're entirely picked over with very little left. Hell, I wanted new figures and all I was able to get was a Hot Wheels set with both Ecto-1's and a Stay Puft Man figure. That's SEVEN stores all in Vancouver almost completely sold out.

Before reading his quote, I expected him to praise it, but not going overboard with it.

If the movie's good, then it's good. Why be mad about it?

People gotta prove their street cred.....can't be a real fan of the original unless you hate the new one.....

It started as serious movie with hint of horror who dealt with paranormal activity. It set the tone. And for movie not to be that serious, it had humour between main characters, comedic elements and reliefs.

This on other hand looks like comedy, directed as comedy from beggining with sprinkles of original ghostbusters, but not as homage to originals but as parody of it.
Inside the first ten minutes of the movie, Venkman is trying to get laid. :funny:

I think that's the only one they made. The Disney Store left her off of the t-shirts and hoodies for the movie too. I wouldn't get them for my nephew because of it.

There are also Big Hero 6 toys that left off the two girl characters. Apparently the movie was called Big Hero 4 in that universe??

I took that Ghostbusters picture because I was looking for the Rey action figure in that same aisle. I haven't seen a 3.75 Rey figure in any store since October.
I am still looking for the Rey figure from the end of the movie. Got all the others, including the one that came with the speeder. It is my unicorn. :funny:

That's the one I'm still looking for. I have the first one - I got it at midnight on Force Friday. I'm so glad I took pictures of that...they come in handy when some manchild on Twitter tries to explain to me that I don't know how to look for action figures.

And asking a librarian who just saw a ghost if she's on her period. Because science. :funny:
Real serious business.

:lmao:

I personally have not enjoyed much in the trailers outside of Wiig, Thor and the ghosts. I think the ghosts look amazing. So I have been turned off after being rather hyped after seeing "Spy". I feel like they have no idea how to advertise this, and it has shown. Maybe it is because the movie is horrible, or maybe they just don't know how to show its qualities. But as a Ghostbusters fan, I definitely would love to be surprised and have this turn out good.

It has been heck finding Rey figures, but I have them all but that one. I have my entire family looking for me when they go shopping. It shouldn't be this hard. :funny:

Yeah, the one thing I do like is the design of the ghosts, very well done. I like the one that's always in the trailers that slimes Wiig, it's got this very sly look on its face the whole time pretending to just be non-malicious, then wham.

Screw the toys. I want my damned Ecto Cooler. :argh:

If this movie is taking place in a universe where the original characters didn't exist is it really a good idea to bring the old actors in to do walk on cameo appearances as other characters? If anything I am afraid those cameos might take me out of the story.
