It's ridiculously expensive and time-consuming to build armor like that, from what I recall. Granted, not expensive enough that Tony couldn't still do it given the number of armors he's got just for himself, but that's what anyone at Marvel would probably tell you if you asked.

Chances are Tony's armors dont actually cost him anything. he could just write them off as research and development for his company and the taxpayers would take care of it. Aint economics fun?
No where he loses money is on the Avengers. He funds them and they're expensive in a way he cant write off.

Actually if I remember correctly, the Avengers (in the past at least) were funded by the Maria Stark Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, of which Tony is the Chairman. So he really wouldn't be losing money on the Avengers. In fact, by paying for them through the foundation he would be able to right most, if not all, of those expenses off as charitable donations.

I don't know if that's still what he does though, and I doubt Bendis will ever bother to explain it.

wath happen to agatha hakness's cat it was very hot

lol
What would happen if Black Bolt caught a cold? what does he do when he has to sneeze or cough?

I got one. Okay, if Pitor (sp) aka colossus, sufferes a serisous injury while he is healthy then transforms, will the injury be healed? Say a boulder crushes his leg, he then transforms, will his leg just turn into steel and be fine?

Nope. It'd still be crushed. Basically when he transforms he just changes the material of his body (and grows a bit) but physically he's in the same state. So if he had a broken leg when he transformed it would still be broken. Just broken steel.

Can someone tell me who this dude is, the green guy with the purple cape?

Yeah i know the pic is small as hell but thats all i got so bare with me plz.

I got one...what does the term retcon mean?

And another...what is Scarlet Witches mutant power exactly? I thought it was alter reality, but if she can just alter it and not change it wouldn't all the mutants that got de-powered in House of M stilll have their powers? Or something...

The green dude is Ultimate Green Goblin. Retcon is when a writer changes a story that is already established. For example when a villain dies and you later find out that he faked his death thats retconning. And finally Scarlet Witch's mutant power is to cast hexs that alter probability but she's also tied to the chaos demon C'thon which gives her incredibly powerful chaos magic. And Altering reality and changing reality are the same thing. Alter = change.

Yeah, but that was Retconned. See how it works?

Retcon = retroactive continuity. It means that something is inserted into the past from the present. Gwen Stacy's sleeping with Norman Osborn is an example. Nothing was ever shown in the comics at the time to imply that she and Norman had sex, but the modern story "Sins Past" inserted that lovely little detail into the time period of the earlier comics, hence it was retroactively made part of continuity, or retconned.

A more recent retcon would be the Iluminati.

So, I was talking to Elijya and I came to the conclusion this thread needs a new title thats a lot more new user friendly. Poeple seem to be turned off by the Stupid Question part. So im taking suggestions on what the title should be.

Frequently Asked Questions?

That was my first idea but lot of these arent really FAQ questions we get some wierd ones sometimes.

How about: "Stuff you always wanted to know but were afraid to ask."?

Such as : What EXACTLY is Apocalypse's power? I remember hearing that he could effect his body's molecular make up, but I'm not sure if I made that up when I was a kid.

How much do our world/real world rules of nature really affect the comic book world?

Being friendly is vastly overrated. The title's fine as it is. Whether people want to admit it or not, most of the questions asked on these boards are pretty stupid because they could be answered using nothing but a working brain and Google in about 2 minutes. :o

No, just in general. The whole gravity, speed, force/impact, durablity thing etc. I mean Logically, if Wolverine fought the Hulk, and the Hulk punches Logan in the chest, all of Logan's immediate organs would collapse or implode/explode from the force. His bone structure would be fine but his organs would not be.

Just odd little things like that in general. If the Hulk has a regenerate system that is above and beyond anyone, why does he tire eventually? Why does he even age? Or does he only age as Banner?
