Sequels The New Mutants - Josh Boone to Direct - Part 2

I don't see why Fox would want Cable to debut in new Mutants film. Unless they really need to convince the General public to watch New Mutants. Cable would just steal the show and Deadpool 2 Already got goodwill from the first movie, so it's not like Deadpool 2 needs more marketing push from New Mutants.

I don't need to read the full run of New Mutants. I probably read more comics than you did in your life. You might as well say that they should feature Magma, Karma, Cypher, Gossamyr, Warpath and everyone who appeared in that series in 1 movie, just because you read the full run of New Mutants making you the perfect judge who should appear in the movie.

Cable doesn't need to appear in it, especially Deadpool 2 isn't stuck in the past and there's no upcoming crossover between New Mutants and X-Force that we know of.

Working title is Growing Pains, and Sneider also tweets about inviting Boone, Maisie and Anya over to his mom's for dinner.

Hopefully they confirm those two soon. ATJ as Magik gets me more hyped than Brolin and Zazie to be honest.

Yay and the working title of Dark Phoenix is Teen Spirit.

It hasn't been confirmed yet, which was the point. We'd like to know for certain.

More production stuff, but 'Growing Pains' is apparently the working title.

According to Production Weekly, director Josh Boone’s film is being referred to as “Growing Pains,” which seems only fitting, as the story centers on the teen students at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters as they come into their own. Considering the project’s influences, which range from the 1984 Marvel Comics storyline “The Demon Bear Saga” to classic Amblin and John Hughes films, the nod to the popular 1980s sitcom “Growing Pains” doesn’t seem accidental.

No casting announcements have been made, but classic New Mutants characters have been teased: Danielle Moonstar, Cannonball, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Magik and Warlock. Boone (“The Fault in Our Stars”) also fueled rumors in February by revealing concept art of “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams as the shape-shifting Wolfsbane.

I think since Teen Spirit is 90's... People should hopefully connect the dots of New Mutants in 80's with Growing Pains

new mutants is defently set in 1980's.it will be set in between apocalypse set in 1983 and dark phoenix set in early 1990's.

'the nod to the popular 1980s sitcom “Growing Pains” doesn’t seem accidental'

does that confirm NM is set in 1980's??? thats a chance

Possibly 1988 if they want to jump 5 years ahead and then jump another 5 years for Dark Phoenix.

thats all depending of course.

A lot of us here speculated that since the film was first announced. It makes the most sense IMO.

Not really. New Mutants could work as well as in the present days too. Its not like New Mutants are just an 80s thing.

We already knew Sinkiewicz was communicating with Boone regarding the film, but good to know that Boone has his stamp of approval. Must be an awesome time to see his work in this and Legion come to life! Got me even more hyped for the film now!

yup this movie is gonna blow the haters and skeptics away
