I don't think the choice to make something dark and gritty is because of the lack of budget, if so deadpool should have been the darkest and grittiest of them all.

At this point its clear they are attempting various tones and with Logan its probably the darkest and grittiest yet and that was likely more down to choice then oh we don't have the budget to really go huge.

Again i don't think hearing nothing is a sign of concern just like having heard nothing about another X-Men movie for some time didn't mean nothing was in the works.

Well I for one would be fine with waiting for Dark Phoenix until X8.

And thought this won't be the case, Mutant Massacre would be a way to introduce Gambit, even though I cringe at the image of Tatum standing next to the younger X-Men. I dunno, maybe he's just been around longer and in the shadows while working for Sinister.
