I have found my post of the year, or whatever that award will be called.
I hate this city. Goddamn, do I hate this city. I hate this piece of **** with every fiber of my being....and yet, I love her. She's disgusting and irreistible, like a hooker with the clap. That's my city. That's why I protect her.
Night time. My time. The right time to bring to justice, those who feed on my city's teets like pigs. Nobody sucks on her teets but me.
It's barely dark when the first screams of the night echo through the alleys. Three men trying to rape a woman. She has to be a ****e from the way she dresses. A part of me wants to leave her to her fate. Justice in it's most basic form.
I land between the men and the lone woman, growling like a fat man who realizes he's not going to get the last piece of pizza. They have guns and knives on their side, nothing but my body on my side. My head and torso are ready for battle, calm and focused. Below the waist, I've got a hard-on that could cut diamonds.
One of the criminals charges. I could kill him with my forearm, but I won't. I have my one rule, the rule I will never break. I grab him by the neck and crush three vertebrae in his spine. Not dead, just a paralyzed below the neck. I drop the beaten thug like a sack of potatoes and turn to his friend.
One of them ****s his pants and runs away screaming. The other draws his weapon on me. I rush over before he can shoot, grabbing his gun and smacking him in the forehead with it. He cries out in pain like an eight-year-old handicap kid. I grab both his forearms and twist as hard as I can. All told, twenty-three fractures to his forearms. Still alive, but he'll never be able to fully use his hands again.
I turn to the woman. She's paralyzed by fear and shaking. "Who are you?" she asks.
I scowl. "Are you dumb? Stupid? I'm the mother****ing Batman!"
"Sage."
Knox's voice snaps me out of my trance. I look up from my laptop and stare over the cubicle wall at him. "What's up?"
"Nothing much. You're just over there typing like a fiend. I was hoping you had a hot lead on something."
"Naah. This is more like a personal project."
I save the word document as "Batfanfic1" and close the lid to my computer. "So what's on the plate for tomorrow?"
"Going through my budget lines for the city section tomorrow. I'm doing the follow-up on that missing girl. Cops wouldn't comment on how she got back home, but rumor is it involves a masked man."
I do my best to hide my smirk. "Anything for me?"
"Yeah. Kinda light, though. It's a human intrest piece."
"You need some fluff to go with the bad news."
"I want you to head over to Waynetech and interveiw their CEO Helena Bertinelli. Waynetech is launching some kind of new tech and the PR people want a nice feature on Bertinelli and the company."
"Sure thing, boss."
I lift up the laptop lid and start back on my story.

With the season chugging along to the end, I thought it'd be a good idea to announce that we're going to do a little montage post wrapping the first season up.
Now, for those not in the know, a montage looks like this:

It's a great idea that helps cap off a season's worth of work and a way to foreshadow the events of next season. Since Soze isn't in this RPG, damn him for that, I'll be taking the duties of putting the montage post together and getting it ready to be the last one of the season.
The only thing I ask is to watch the length of your contributions. They're just snippets, not full-length posts. As you can see from the example above, Soze couldn't fit it all in one post and almost ran out of song. So, you know what to do. Not too long, with whole scenes of dialouge, just a few paragraphs with your character doing something.
It's optional, so do what you want to do. Just make sure the contributions are all written in 3rd person. PM them to me when you're done.

.Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Hero
.Powers and physical attributes: No powers, but Selina has all the training required of a Gotham City police officer. As such, she's well-trained in combat and firearms - though she rarely uses the latter. For Selina, staying at top form can often be a matter of life and death.
.Origin and backstory (as you see it): Selina Kyle grew up in a broken home. Her father and mother split not long after she was born, a fact that causes Selina to shoulder some of the blame. When her alcoholic father, Brian Kyle, dies of alcohol poisoning, Selina comes into the permanent care of her mother, Maria. Times were tough for the Kyles, and Maria resorted to prostitution - not only to feed her child, but also to feed a growing addiction to heroin. Having no place else to go, Maria brought her clients back to her dingy apartment. Selina was too young to understand the truth, but she knew that she didn't like the men that her mother was bringing home. This, added to her resentment of her father for "leaving," laid the foundations of a lifetime of distrusting men.
After her mother overdosed on heroin, Selina was put into the foster care system. From then on, she lived a relatively normal life, but she was always haunted by her past. Selina frequently changed families because she came at odds with the men trying to be a father figure for her. Selina finally found peace with an older woman, Irena Dubrovna, who had an affinity for cats. She went to school, participated in gymnastics, and matured.
As a result of her rough childhood, Selina felt a calling. She joined the Gotham City Police Department, in hopes of ridding the city of the evils that plagued her early life. Shortly after joining the force, Selina was made an undercover officer in the Vice Unit. Selina worked for almost a year with Vice, posing as a prostitute to help bring the industry and its clients down. Her exceptional work in this field merited her a far more important - yet far more dangerous - job.
Selina was assigned to infiltrate the Maroni crime family. Her new identity was Holly Robinson, a woman from a well-to-do Brooklyn family. The guise worked like a charm, and after a brief courtship, Selina became Salvatore Maroni's trophy girlfriend. She's been undercover for almost two years now, but the case against Maroni hasn't gotten much stronger. Selina's fellow officers don't respect her, which motivates her to work even harder to bring Maroni down to prove herself.
Recently, Edward Nygma has been hired to tail Selina on Maroni's request. However, Nygma - being a police officer himself - already knows why Selina has been acting strangely.
.The burning question - Why this character?: The idea came to me suddenly, and as I discussed it with Master Bruce, I found I liked it more and more. I've always toyed with the idea of playing Catwoman, but I've never known what to do with her when I'm not working with Batman. Now, I finally have that something. In fact, it's almost what I'm looking forward to more.
.How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?: First and foremost, Selina is a cop. This departure from the norm completely changes her dynamic. Rather than overtly trying to topple organized crime as Catwoman, she's working much more subtly. Her past is very similar, although it's been modified to make her motivations and dislike of men stronger. While I anticipate her relationship with Batman will not change greatly, her relationship with Bruce Wayne will.
.What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: Reliability and excitement. I still don't know where I "rank" in terms of quality, but I'd like to think that - at the very least - my stories are interesting, if not always superbly written.

"HOLLY!" Sal barks. "HOLLY!" I slink into the dining room. The eyes of Sal's associates immediately turn to me. Then, as usual, they immediately drop to my chest. I do my best to ignore them as I smile pleasantly. Men are pigs. "Would you take care of this thing, please?" Sal asks irritably, motioning to the curled-up black figure on the table before him.
I say nothing as I cross the dining room to where Sal's sitting. I pick up the cat, Ebony, and glance at the men surrounding Sal. Their faces aren't familiar to me.
"Take it for a walk or something," Sal grumbles. He waves his hand dismissively when I try to kiss him on the neck.
I retort, "She, Sal, she. Not it." He rolls his eyes. "And she's a cat. You don't walk cats."
"Whatever!" Sal replies, his temper increasing again. "Just get it out of here." As I'm walking out, I hear him say to his associates, "Never buy your lady a cat. God, I hate the thing."
Ebony purrs as I pet her gently. "It's okay, baby."

Re-applying for Mr Freeze, I really want to finish the story I've started to tell twice.

.Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Hes get closer to walking the line before a spiral into madness/villainy as he takes out the ones he blames for Noras condition and his own, and then her ultimately untimely death.
.Powers and physical attributes: Victor Freis is an average man, slight build, bald head by choice, a very slight face. He is also very intelligent being a genius in cryogenics and weapons manufacturing as he has made ice grenades/bombs and is working on an ice gun.
.Origin and backstory (as you see it):
Victor Victor Freis is the son of a German immigrant, his early life was rather uneventful , he had hobbies, he went to a boarding school, then he met the love of his life. Nora, a beautiful woman. They met after college, just before he was hired at Gothtech.
Victor had started developing weapons and other liquid nitrogen based/ powered tools on the military contracts as Gothtech. He was working on a suit of armor for desert environments meant to keep the wearer cool and comfortable in the heat of the hottest deserts in the world. He proposed to Nora at the Iceburg lounge when a gunfight broke out and she was hit by a stray bullet.
The money he embezzled to buy the ring he has yet to return as his salary is not paying all the bills, Nora's medical bills and now he has legal fees with civil suits against him, and Victor knows nearly nothing about laws or the legal system, not enough to defend himself. Nora's parents are debating pulling the plug, and Victor is running out of options

I love the character, just always though he was a cool character to watch on TV, Batman TAS really did that. because i used to have a video of the older TV show and Freeze wasn't that impressive a character
I also already established Freis without getting into Mr Freeze and I want to make that move soon, but not too soon.

hes not going to be a villain, hell start out as a good guy, then hell descend into villainy as his luck gets worse and worse, turning to true supervillainy when he looses whats closest to his heart: Nora, and hell be a little less cold the he has been shown in some, hell be angry, but still sympathetic character.
I'm gonna kinda change this a bit, when he totally looses it, he is going to become cold, but only on the outside, only to his enemies, and emotional to everyone else. And he will not be so sympathetic through his enemies eyes, because all they see if a former scientist(if they knew him then) in a suit of cooling armor coming at them and wanting their head on a stake.
Freeze was arrested in my last post for what he did during the Star'ro arc, that's not gonna be what sends him over the edge though, money will be, money is going to be his undoing.

He hadn't though of anything else, even at work, he had to re start on individual parts to the freeze gun because he would loose focus and weld the wrong things together, or incorrectly wire another piece. It was wreaking havoc, he could only think of her, he had a few sick days saved up and he was going to use them so he could spend some time with her so he might be able to work, that why he would still have a way to support her when she ever came out of a coma.
As he left the Gothtech building he headed right for the Hospital.
The next morning he called into work and told Dave, a coworker in the lab, that he would be taking time off for Nora
Victor, I dont know what youre going through, but I wish you both the best. He said over the phone
Thank you Dave, Ill see you when I come back. Victor hung up the phone and walked back over to Noras bed side. Two months youve been like this. He thought to himself. He took her hand in his and said a prayer, funny he thought, for such a nonreligious man to pray now that he needed God or Heaven the most. He spent the night there, ate dinner in the cafeteria. As time went on these last couple of months he had learned to have time without her, to leave her side as to function correctly, the watching her lie there was torturous, but he couldnt leave her side, what would happen if she woke up and he wasnt there? Wasnt in the hospital when he could be? She might think he abandoned her.
The calendar ticked by and soon a week was over, this would be the last night he could stay with her until he had to go back to work.
Nora, darling, I want you to know, no matter what happens, I love you. He looked up at her face as he held her hand firm in his grasp, the doors opened and Noras parents came in the room. they came over to their daughters bed side. Isa, her mother with short red hair and aged worried face on Noras right side, her father tall and blonde steady as a red wood,towering over all at the foot of the bed.
Funny,Victor thought to himself, Nora was a party girl, out going, willing to jump on the dance floor at any given moment, a loud person everyone in this room loved. And she was surrounded by silence.

I've subscribed to the in character thread and enjoyed the recent storyline, so I wondered which characters were still available. Then I thought about one of the villains I enjoyed, who was connected with mythology, and then saw how Wonder woman connected to mythology.
First of all, is Black Adam available? Captain Marvel hasn't posted in a while, so I wasn't sure.
Second, my idea is that Black Adam was originally a servant not of the Egyptian pantheon but the Aztec gods thousands of years ago. And when logic pushed the gods aside, to save himself from obscurity, Tezcatlipoca (The smoking mirror) took hundreds of mortal followers and hid them in an ancient part of South America, that mortals could never find.
These followers all believed in him alone, so while The Smoking Mirror's brothers and sisters disappeared into obscurity, he survived on the sacrificed blood of his followers. When the gods made Wonder Woman, he saw an opportunity to increase his following and fame among mortals, by sending his servant to earth to inspire followers to sacrifice to him. (but if asked he will say he's just trying to combat the forces of darkness)
Black Adam is not a person, so much as a title. The loyal servant would be selected and granted the powers (Tezcatlipoca is stronger than an individual god because his worship never ended) to rival Wonder Woman. His mission, is to inspire adoration among mortals, but also to sacrifice blood to his master. He wouldn't be a serial killer, but super villain blood if anything, is more potent than normal blood.
Thus I see him less as a Captain Marvel enemy, as a potential ally of Wonder Woman who might go too far...or an opportunity for Diana to make a true hero.
What do you guys think? Should I make the application for him?
On a side note, I notice Wonder Woman's enemy organisation includes Captain Nazi and Cheetah. Who else is in that group?

These followers all believed in him alone, so while The Smoking Mirror's brothers and sisters disappeared into obscurity, he survived on the sacrificed blood of his followers. When the gods made Wonder Woman, he saw an opportunity to increase his following and fame among mortals, by sending his servant to earth to inspire followers to sacrifice to him. (but if asked he will say he's just trying to combat the forces of darkness)
Black Adam is not a person, so much as a title. The loyal servant would be selected and granted the powers (Tezcatlipoca is stronger than an individual god because his worship never ended) to rival Wonder Woman. His mission, is to inspire adoration among mortals, but also to sacrifice blood to his master. He wouldn't be a serial killer, but super villain blood if anything, is more potent than normal blood.
Thus I see him less as a Captain Marvel enemy, as a potential ally of Wonder Woman who might go too far...or an opportunity for Diana to make a true hero.
What do you guys think? Should I make the application for him?
On a side note, I notice Wonder Woman's enemy organisation includes Captain Nazi and Cheetah. Who else is in that group?

I'm under that impression as well which is one of the main reasons I kept The Atom in Metropolis.

Just to be clear, that last post and my next one take place over the course of a few days in the past. Specifically around the time of the end of the Holiday case, which Batman appeared in while the JLA thing was still going on. This is just my way of bringing him back to the present day. Sorry if it seems rushed.

I thought so too, but nobody seems to be... well... doing anything together. It's not like Superman and Wonder Woman are hiding or inconspicuous. Just have Flash and the Atom see them above the street and wave them over, or whatever.
And if we ever get some Martian posting, he can join in too.
We need to get some JLA communication devices.

Superboy is still in Metropolis, but I broke him off since I see him as more of a fringe character/JLA sidekick than a member.
And going back to one of Spike's earlier posts, I believe the smart phones you refer to are WayneBerries in Ultimate continuity.
The opposition would be the L-Phone by LexCorp.
