Still, no news! Son of a batch!
For Asa's most recent film, Ten Thousand Saints. Someone else linked it here a page or two back and that's what started the conversation about his voice as Spider-Man.

I don't know if this changes your mind on that matter at all, but it's what I based my thoughts today on.
Fair enough! It was just the general impression that I was getting from your posts lately. No harm, no fowl!

By Zero Brien or Isaac?
Ok thanks for the link. It's not too bad in there, but still doesn't sound as if it has very much energy or enthusiasm. I think Spidey needs to speak a little higher up than Asa is doing there in order to sound more energetic about life and pull off those motor mouth quips.
I've never had a problem with his acting, because we all know he can do drama very well. It's the more humorous side of him that is a huge question mark, and is definitely not the same as saying that Michael Keaton (known for his comedy) could be more dramatic as Batman, because it doesn't always work the other way round going from drama to comedy compared to going from comedy to drama, as I've explained before.
Does anyone have a vid of Tom doing an american accent?
The good news is that they pushed it into the holiday movie season. He hasn't been in a movie where he's needed one yet. Although he probably could have in The Impossible. Too bad they pushed In the Heart of the Sea back, it was supposed to come out in March.
agreed, man. as i've said a dozen times, conditions aside, o'brien is hands down the BEST man for the job.The look, the voice, he's absolutely perfect
Can't believe it wasn't announced months ago it's him
(btw that movie doesn't look half bad, might have to check out the 1st one)
I saw.I definitely think Asa would slay in the role if we do end up going through the Symbiote arc in the sequel films. He's terrific with the darker, more dramatic type of material that would come into play with the Symbiote suit.
Yeah I think someones jumped the gun a bit (with updating it), I was just stating I've only just noticedMai we talked about this yesterday. Imdb is a user edited site. And is not reliable on casting news Untill official word is out and it's corrected. Heck rosemary harris for sm3 was listed as aunt carnage for awhile. And hell actress who played captain Janeway was listed as captain Janeway on one of the 2000s eras power rangers series page.

News isn't dropped over the weekend and nothing is going to drop on a bank holiday. I think it's June at the earliest we hear anything.
The black suit Spider-Man is really uninteresting to me. I'd rather he got and lost the suit in a seperate Venom movie, or perhaps get and then lose the suit in Infinity War, and then have Brock / Flash / whoever pick it up in a Venom movie.
When does Ant Man come out?
What if Marvel kept it secret and the after credit scene is where they surprise us and reveal the actor playing Pete. Maybe all of Spidey's scenes filmed for Civil War before Ant Man comes out will be on a closed set, so they are not afraid of leaks.
Just a thought.
Which is probably why Marvel & Sony will announce the actor as soon as he's on set. It's not worth it.That's a possibility, but it'd be a very tough one for Marvel and Sony to actually pull off. The actor would need to be dead silent about their location for at least a month and need to avoid being seen by the public, paparazzi and spy photographers. Especially since it looks like we're almost definitely getting either Asa or Tom in the role.
There's also the fact that the crew on set and possible extras or small-time actors that would be involved in scenes with Peter would need to be absolutely silenced too.
