1. My only impression of his acting ability is based upon trailers for Ender's Game; based on that I would be disappointed but that's such a thin basis that I'd obviously be willing to have my mind changed.
2. I'd be quite happy. I had no idea who he was before the announcement that Spider-Man would be appearing in the MCU, but a video I watched made me think that he would be able to do the quippage properly, which I've only really liked when Josh Keaton has done it. I've since seen most of his work and I'm confident in his ability to do justice to the totality in way that I'm not for any of the other suggestions. If he isn't chosen, I would be hoping to be Heather Ledger'd.
3. I would be less happy, especially since the only movie I have seen him in (the first Percy Jackson film) left me with a lukewarm feeling about his ability to play a character that needs levity. But I do have confidence in his overall ability; I just imagine it would just feel a bit more dull to me. I see him and I am reminded of Maguire, which isn't a bad thing - it just means that he'll probably feel incomplete.
4. Who?
5. There is no 5.

9. I recently watched Seasons 1 and 2 of Bates Motel. While Vera Farmiga is easily the stand-out on that show, Freddie still holds his own. I'm not sure how I would react. On the one hand, he's clearly a very talented actor. He makes me forget that I'm watching him act at times. On the other hand, there are aspects of Spider-Man in particular - the physique (which nothing resembles so much as pre-serum Captain America) and the easy repartee (that nothing about his acting in the show or in interviews gives me the impression that he could pull off) - that I think are huge question marks. I think he'd be a great Parker, since he can clearly play an alternately creepy-but-sweet and awkward nerdy character, but nothing about him says
Spider-Man to me.
10. Please don't.
11. I think he's too old, even if they were doing a Peter Parker who was in his post-graduate years. I'm also not convinced that he has the dramatic chops.
Bonus:
1. If Donald Glover is too old, Maguire clearly is.
2. I didn't like Garfield, but that was probably more due to the writing of his character (which I felt made Peter unsympathetic, unlikable, and not particularly bright; Gwen was much better) than it was due to his acting. But I feel that that ship has sailed.
3. I watched exactly one video of him - a scene of him coming out to his father on Eastenders, that was simply atrocious. I'd be shocked if they thought he was suitable for the role, whereas I could see at least the
potential for any of the others to be chosen.
