Creative Team - Writer: Peter David / Penciler: To be confirmed. Just thought it should have it's own thread. I re-read issue 1 of this series, and i gotta say... i really like this book. yes, it was a part of "the Other" but this is one of the best issues from the crossover. that's all... CHAT!

If I could delete all the word balloons and just look a 'Ringo's artwork, I'd buy it.

That being said, any book that brings Uncle Ben back from the dead (whether he's from an alternate reality or not) does NOT get my money.

Right now it could be better, but I still think it's alright. I'm really looking forward to the Mysterio story though.

the last issue wasnt great but i've liked other recent issues and i actually like the idea of
an evil Uncle Ben walking around. Though my money's that the second (evil) uncle ben might have been chameleon but it'd need chameleon to know spidey's identity.wait, he unmasked...oh yeah. but that was after this uncle ben showed up.

Looking forward to seeing Mysterio as well.

I could have done with out the Uncle Ben from another universe. But then again, the ending of the last issue has me wondering what they will do with the CRAZY Uncle Ben, or who ever he is.

what happens in #11 by the way? any good? (i gotta wait a few hours til i get to read it)

I just starting reading FNSM. The last time I saw Flash Thompson, he was paralyzed but now he's a school gym teacher. How has PAD explained this?

not very well. he woke up from the coma he got himself in and forgot pete was his friend, calls him puny parker and refused to believe pete was spider-man when he saw it on TV. he'll probs hate SM next

i didnt see how he did it but somehow they have him working at the school he drunkenly crashed into and severely damaged to go into the coma in the first place. maybe it was revealed it was a set-up by norman osborn but i doubt it.

i dont remember when he was paralysed. i know he had problems aaaaages ago.is that what your on about? or did you mean the recent coma?

Y'know, I think it's showing promise. I haven't read issue #11 yet, and obviously the "Masks" arc was entirely useless, but I enjoyed "Jumping The Tracks". Issue #9 was, IMO, really classic Peter David writing - that I loved. The issues before and after it weren't quite as good, but it still made for a pretty enjoyable story.

so anyone read the new issue yet with mysterio? Just checking to see if it's good or not

the Mysterio issue was pretty damn good, imo...looks like a certain man who stole his "final" trick from Kraven may be back :o

In Peter Parker: Spider-Man three or four years ago, Paul Jenkins had a story where Norman Osborn tied Flash to a chair, forced him to drink, and then sent him off in a truck, which resulted in Flash being paralyzed, brain damaged, and basically a vegetable. He showed up in PP:SM every once in a while after that in a wheelchair, and always showed hints that he was aware of where he was. Then he disappeared for a while until PAD brought him back.

Just finished issue #11. It was great, I really enjoyed it. Right from the cover, which actually had some substance (not just spidey posing for a poster), down to last page.
The scene's with flash were good. I hope PAD keeps him around for a while.
OverRide.

I think it's the second one dude Maguire Beck, or maybe Daniel Berkhart, 'cause the blurb for next issue, said that there would be three mysterio's. Gotta save the best for last

Well, I just read the Mysterio issue. I liked it a lot. The only thing that bugged me a bit was the lack of cordination between writers. After reading Peter saying "I'll never let you down, kids!" just two weeks ago in Sensational,
it was a bit off putting to hear him basically say "I'm leaving. Laterz"
in this one.

I read the Mysterio issue and really liked it. I really like this look for the Mysterio at the end.

Aweasome! :D

I just really hope they don't make the resignation thing permanent. Making peter a teacher was one of the best things jms ever did for Spider-Man.
It makes sense, it suits the character and in these times of spider-stingers  and head munching it feels like just another aspect of Spider-Man's descent into banality. The Doc Ock issue of sensational was one of my favourite recent stories
and there's so much potential for story telling with Peter as a teacher. This HAS to be fixed!

Pretty cool issue. Glad to see that somebody followed up and stuck with the new Mysterio that spawned out of the Spider-Man/Black Cat mini.

However, the question is "Who is the second Mysterio in the kick ass new suit?" Is it Quentin Beck, despite dying in the pages of Daredevil during the Guardian Devil storyline? Is it Danny Beckhart? Is it someone else completely off the beaten path?

If it's Quentin Beck I'll be a little pissed. He had a good death in Daredevil and I think Marvel has spit enough on past stories, I think it's time to leave some alone.

Though I was happy to see Peter resign from teaching. It only made perfect sense. Lets see...he was already attacked by Doctor f'n Octopus. He already made the decision, but Mysterio has shown up...and all the kids, teachers, and even the hot new nurse are in trouble. And, though Peter doesn't know this but us readers do, Green Goblin is out of jail and free, via Civil War Frontline. And with The Chameleon setting something up over in Sensational...is it REALLY wise for Peter Parker, the newly outted Spider-Man, to be teaching school to a bunch of children...endangering them everyday...simply because some people think it was a GREAT plot point to have Peter as a teacher? While I agree it was a good idea...the better idea with the story is for Peter to resign.

Because he's not going to be left alone by these villains, that's for sure.

But, overall, a good issue. Though I hope they tread lightly with who these other Mysterios are...VERY lightly. There are enough fans pissed as it is.

I was also happy to see him resign, it was good to see him teaching while he still had a secret identity but it would have made no sense at all that he would carry on now and would have been irresponsible because the kids would constantly be being put in danger.

I finally read it yesterday, it wasn't a bad issue, I just wasn't thrilled with the art, and it was a bit corny with some of "Mysterio's" dialogue. Apparently Wieringo isn't the artist anymore:confused: For some reason it seems like he's never stays on a Spidey title for very long.

What makes you think the villains would let up on the school if Peter resigned?

If anything, I think it's more likely that they attack if there's no Peter.
