Two words: Hugo, Weaving

You can't make any assumptions. He might sign a multi picture deal, he might not.

I'm going to try and accept this is the one and only time we'll see Pym on the silver screen. I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment again.

I'm going to wait 'til it's on Tv (like XM:FC,All Wolvie movies,AMS).

I like ninjas. I feel like they make almost anything better.

The Silver Samuraibot *was* pretty stupid though. I would have thought of all Marvel villains Silver Samurai would have to be one of the easiest to pull off, but they managed to wreck both him AND Viper.

Still enjoyed the flick despite either one.

Viper I get, since like the Maximofs, she's one of those characters that both Studios can use but have to be careful how they do it. So it was understandable that they changed her so much.
But SS, yeah that rubbed me the wrong way.
And The Hand not being called by that name was just a minor nitpick.
I hope we get to see them in Netflix DD :)

:csad: Goodbye to this storyline :waa:

I’ve been told that the female lead of this film is the daughter of the second male lead. In light of the last day’s news, that pretty clearly marks her out as the offspring of Hank Pym.

Wasp is Pym's daughter, pairs up with Scott Lang Ant-Man to kick butt in Avengers 3.

That guy jump to conclusions much.....?

"Second male lead" usually means the co-star, not "guy who was announced second during casting reveals."

We don't know if Lang would qualify, or Pym.
Until Marvel announces something specific on this, I'll wait to see if "daughter of the second male lead" means a teenage Cassie Lang, or a (much) older daughter of Hank Pym, who would be an original character.

I'll be perfectly happy if they *do* go the "Janet Van Pym" (or w/e) daughter route, but I'm not swallowing the Kool-Aid just yet. Marvel is on top of this right now; the rumormongers clearly aren't, and are getting conflicting reports at Variety, BC, and LR.

Well it doesn't make sense for the female lead to be Cassie Lang.

Is it odd that I am somewhat turned on by that cover with Scarlet Witch covered in ants?

-- hmm, I wonder how the denouement of the film will leave Hank. Hopefully he won’t be sacrificed, and will continue on as a supporting character. I really liked John Byrne’s reworking of Dr. Pym in the West Coast Avengers, where he stayed human-sized but had shrinking tools and gadgets. It would be interesting if movie Hank ends up occupying such a role.

Janet as Pym's daughter could work. They would still have a connection, it could give him an incentive to giver her powers, it could parallel the Scott/Cassie relationship, and it would allow for a younger Wasp.

An older Pym done in the style of "Dr Pym" from the WCA days would be interesting.
