Ant-Man The Official Ant-Man News and Speculation Thread - Part 9

Didn't he shrink an actual tabk before putting it on his key ring? Then he used the growth particles to make it normal size again.

If it was a toy they wouldn't have been able to drive it.

There would definitely be lots of practical uses for shrinking technology. I wish it existed. There would be so much more space available in my house because things could be stored away more easily. And whenever I go out, I wouldn't have to worry about where to park my car, because I could just take it with me in my pocket.

But how did Hank Pym grow that big keychain tank again? Did he use those discs to make it big? In the comics, eventually he had absorbed enough of the Pym particles that he could just touch it and make it big or small if he wanted. Although I don't know how that would be practical, because whenever he would touch someone then, wouldn't they shrink or grow too? How would he control when exactly to make something change size?

In the comics Pym had control over what he could shrink or grow through touch.

They didn't show how he shrinked his car and tank in the movie but I imagine he probably used the discs or a version of the shrink ray that Cross had but could get to work properly.

I never said it was a toy. I know it was a real tank shrunk down. I asked how exactly he made it grow again and whether he used those discs.

Ah, then yeah I just assumed he used one of those discs to grow it to normal size again. I get why they didn't show it and just cut straight to it busting out of the building.

Man I can't wait to go to best buy and preorder the steel book tomorrow

Got this and Agent Carter arriving tomorrow on BD, excited to see both again.

IMDB really is worth absolutely nothing as a source. Anybody can edit it, and there's no real enforcement of citation.

Finally watched this again on BD, it's one of the MCU movies where the humour really works on every level as the movie has a ton of heart and soul and the humour just adds to that. This isn't evident in all of the MCU movies but it certainly is in Ant Man. This is possibly my favourite MCU origin movie.

And of all the solo movies I also think it has the best action, and there is not one moment of spotty CGI in the movie when there usually is with any blockbuster. Can't wait for the sequel.

The CGI works extremely well in Ant-Man because they used them correctly and most of the miniature environments are real.

Yep, they used CGI in the right way and went practical as much as possible. If into more movies would do this.

And it's actually a pretty positive review of Ant-Man, despite the obligatory silliness involved in an Honest Trailer.

That's why, in general, I prefer Honest Trailer's over CinemaSins. Even when they're nitpicky, it (usually) is still in a kind of silly way and it makes for a fun/funny video to watch even when you might not agree with some of the things they point out, and they'll openly admit when it's actually a good movie (this, The Winter Soldier).

CinemaSins on the other hand....:whatever:

Got it yesterday. Gonna wait to open it for a rewatch on Friday when my little cousin is over, he's been wanting to watch it.

CinemaSins is only nitpicking, and 7, 8, 9 minutes of it these days too - 18 minutes for Tomorrowland! I don't have time for that.

I still enjoy HiSHE and Honest Trailers.
