You guys… YOU GUYS!!

Why is no one talking about this???? [YT]4LvMeYEwWGQ[/YT]

Paul Rudd lipsynching Don't Stop Me Now (I'm taking that as a shoutout to Edgar Wright!) and Tina Turner? Stupendous.

I love that Marvel's making him a superhero!

I just got in the door from work while my sister had just watched that on Fallon. And I missed it, but caught it on Facebook a couple of minutes ago. It was hysterical hahaha :funny:

I want to see Michael Douglas do that

I just realized how much exposure this movie will get due to the trailer that will undoubtedly be attached to Age of Ultron.

I wonder if Douglas or Rudd will be appearing post-credits in Age of Ultron. I won't be hurt if they don't. but they sometimes use it to set up other movies (like w/ Thor).

Patrick Wilson To Join Marvel’s ‘Ant-Man’
By MIKE FLEMING JR

EXCLUSIVE: Patrick Wilson will join the cast of the Edgar Wright-directed Ant-Man for Marvel Studios, I hear. The film Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas and Michael Pena. Not sure what role Wilson will play at this point. He is coming off two fright franchise The Conjuring and Insidious. Wilson is repped by CAA and Anonymous Content.

I just LOL'd about this, not at you guys, but at the fact that Marvel cast Wilson after all the fancasting.

I think he'd be an excellent younger Pym.

If Wilson is in the movie that is a bit of a kick in the nuts for those who wanted him as Pym. I'm sure Marvel aren't aren't trying to troll fans but it is sort of funny :funny:

Wilson is probably a villain. Wilson plays lots of villains or shady guys and he would make a solid Darren Cross. Wilson is too old to play a young Pym given that Pym should be early to mid twenties in the mid to late sixties given Douglas age.

I'm thinking he went in auditioning for Lang but they decided to cast him in the villain role.

Also, he doesn't look anything like Michael Douglas, so no to 60s Pym

Marvel does like using actors who originally auditioned for heroes as villains like Tom Hiddleston, Lee Pace and Sam Rockwell so your probably right.

Come on guys. Young Pym? Whoever plays a young or younger Douglas needs to at least resemble Douglas. Wilson is probably the villain.

@#$^% he was my first pick for years. Good to have him aboard whoever he's playing.

I still think they're going to make Michael Douglas look younger with visual effects rather than hire an actor that somewhat resembles him. They could have got an old lady to play Peggy Carter in TWS but they're using Hayley Atwell again so I don't see why they can't do the same for this. I'm pretty sure the prologue with 60s Pym is going to be less than 10 minutes so its not like its going to be a big hole in the budget.

So do people think he could be Darren Cross? That's the only Ant-Man villain I can think of, and the trades say last 'male' lead.

This is such trolly casting on Marvel's part, heh.

ETA: I'm blanking on the name of the baddie who got Scott Lang to steal the Ant-Man costume in EMH. I thought it was Cross but I could be wrong?

Next they'll cast Michael C. Hall as Kingpin in daredevil or something hahaha

I agree.

They used Darren Cross cousin William Cross aka Hawkeye's arch enemy Crossfire as Lang's ex-criminal partner.

Scott Lang was a bank robber as well as burglar in EMH. I think Scott is probably also a Bank robber in the film as it would play into Edgar's specialist skills heist plot.

I was never crazy about Wilson as an actor (I mean, he's fine on what I've seen him in, but I just don't think he's very charismatic). That said, I think a lot of people would be ecstatic to have him as a young Pym, and I'd be okay with that. For people saying he doesn't look enough like Douglas, think Willis and JGL in Looper. They don't look alike, but some good facial prosthetics made JGL into a very believable younger Willis

i blame all of the people that cast Wilson as [insert character]. you folks just had to keep saying it over and over. so now Marvel's just going to cast him as bystander #2 so he'll be unusable. :woot:
