The prolgue scene from TDKR is NOT anywhere near on the same level of greatness as the train sequeance in S-M2, IMO.

Ok, I'll be kind here, but it's still gotta be said

You haven't SEEN the "Rises" proloque - you've only heard/read about it, so it's incredibly unjustified of you to put it as "NOT anywhere near on the same level of greatness as the train sequeance in S-M2". You're honestly not allowed to say that, as you are clearly talking about VISUALS here... And you haven't seen the TDKR proloque visuals! - have you

SM-2 train battle (as badass as it is, yes) is still a direct BATTLE_SCENE. TDKR-Proloque ISN'T.

3'rd:
The two movie's sequences in question, are two_different_things. SM-2 train battle is a showdown, filled with heavy CG. It's all action based. TDKR Proloque, however, is an OPENING sequence. And just like the opening for TDK, this opening isn't about the action really - it's about introducing the main baddy, in a grand way. It's about character building, more then anything else, if you will.

...I LOVE Spidey 2, I really do. One of the greatest Marvel motion pictures ever... But dude. You can be preeetty damn sure of the fact that the visuals and cinematography in the whole of TDKR will be "heavy-duty-****", to the exstreme! In a world where the director shoots 50% IMAX, insisting on doing as much practical as humanly possibly, and where the director is looking at cinematography as being a true art of beauty, needing to echo, equal, and mirror the grand ten-poll-scope that no doubt will be that of "Rises"... Then my dear fellow poster, you end up with something that will knock the **** out of the park! Just saying...

But as an action superhero battle scene, SM2 train battle is still one hell of a beautiful showdown, I'll give you that
