Yeah the continuity is what kills me. Same goes for Cheadle Vs. Howard and Gyllenhaal Vs Holmes. I'll still like the movie but it just bugs.

People need to stop fixating and get the concept of roles and acting.

The switch from howard to cheadle didnt bother me one bit

Just a little correction, dude.. This is in Bangkok, Thailand. It is in Sukhumvit Road, Asoke Area, near the BTS Skytrain, I passed it everytime I went to work.. :)

Oh thanks man. I had a feeling I got the location wrong. I appreciate it!:yay:

It's not the change in *actors* I'm worried about; it's the apparent change in *role.*

Granted, we still have to wait and see an actual trailer with dialogue to suss it out further, but the pics of Ruffalo indicate a total transformation in Banner --- and I'm not talking just the physical kind.

Banner is an on-the-run survivor type, living hand-to-mouth out of ghettoes, cabins in the wilderness, etc. Norton portrayed that superbly in TIH.

The pics of Ruffalo, on the other hand, show a guy who's dressed in a sport jacket and open-collar button-down, with a teased, blow-dried hair style and a sultry pout straight out of Zoolander.

This doesn't look like an on-the-edge, harried misunderstood genius who's living off the grid in hiding; this looks like a liberal arts professor at a community college, or a washed-up model in a menswear catalog.

Lol, we'll have to see. I agree about the look being wrong but that has more to do with the productions choices more than the actor really.

cherokeesam hit the nail right on the head for me!
I really like both Norton & Ruffalo as actors and while I prefer to not have a major character recast, I would be willing to accept it given the caliber of his talent.
My problem with the Ruffster is just as cherokeesam so aptly described above. Sure, this is purely speculation at the moment, but I must agree that I am getting the same vibe from what we have been shown so far.
I hope that these fears turn out to be unfounded.
I'll still be there on opening night!

If Rufallo has cut his hair it would have looked a little better.

I think Edward Norton would have been good in this, but I'm convinced Rufallo will do a good job.

I dunno, remember that very first Avengers pic released? Or it might've been the second one, of Ruffalo as Banner looking pretty rundown. My guess is S.H.I.E.L.D. is hooking him up with clothes, maybe they don't want a bum on the team.

Yeah, if he's with shield he's not on the run anymore. No need to dress like a poor man

Stark is going to take the team on a shopping spree. There's going to be a whole montage, set to "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top. At some point, when Thor and Cap don't like a shirt Banner picks out, he's going to turn into the Hulk, who will actually look much better in said shirt.

lol. i could see that. he accidentally tries on a huge shirt, they maked fun of him, he hulks out and then it fits. :p

Hey guys. Here's my updated poster for the movie. Keep in mind that it's a hodge-podge of up to 140 different layers so everything won't look perfect. Still, I hope you like it since it took me a looong time. :)

Agreed.
Find a way to fix Cap/Hawkeye and you'll have a pretty awesome piece of art there.

Also, I'd lighten the shadows on Hulk a bit. He's just a little too dark.

Can you both elaborate on what I need to fix on Cap instead of just telling me to "fix him"? I completely added his updated suit and mask over his picture from "CA:TFA" so of course, it's not going to look perfect.

As for Hawkeye, I'm not really satisfied with his face either. I might try something else.

Hulk has hard shadows because A) the picture used was naturally dark and B) there is a bright light directly behind him, creating a "backlight" effect.

For me, I think the head looks a smidge to big for the body, but I think that was true for the original poster for CA: The First Avenger. The helmet is just a duller shade of blue than the rest of the costume. And I think Hawkeye's face looks fine, it's got similar lighting etc to Thor's. But its a pretty darn good bit of art t.m.b.

Cap and Hawkeyes' heads need Some Assembly Required :D sorry i couldn't help it cool concept though

Still needs a bit tweaking, but overall it looks good

Very simple 2 min, color/lighting correcting job on the first official production still to make it match what I think the movie's final photography could be (and according to Yahoo's sneak peek of the teaser it will be close).
