This is basically the thread were Hulk fans like myself (to be honest, he is the only reason I am looking forward to this movie) can come to discuss, debate, and talk about Hulk's role in the upcoming Avengers movie.

It is here to people can discuss anything regarding the Hulk character and what his role will be or what you want it to be. So go ahead Hulk fans, and discuss.

Looking forward to seeing our boy The Hulk again next year, still gutted Norton isnt coming back and really hope they dont change the design of the Hulk too much from TIH otherwise it wont feel in continuity.

Personally I think some changes are necessary. Whoever heard of a "lean" Hulk?

Thor end credit spoilers:

I'm betting Loki will possess the Hulk, until Thor descends to Earth and the Hulk's own resistance to mental manipulation forces him out.

I don't mind if they change the Hulk, as long as Whedon hasn't regressed his appearance to the pudgy 2003 marshmellow.

Hulk needs to be more heroic and talk more. They need to stop being afraid of that.

I'll miss Norton too. :( I hope for the TIH Hulk alot too, because I really liked the look. Marvel seems to be really sticking with continuity in their Cinematic Universe so I have faith the Hulk will be pretty close to what was seen in TIH.

Yeah. It would be nice to see the intelligent talking Hulk onscreen in live-action. But if we don't get it I won't complain. I love Hulk either way.

Not sure how they plan on Hulk being a "hero" fighting with the Avengers without this.

Unless the Hulk is simply Banner's superpower, and Banner gets a lot of screentime.

But I really hope Whedon doesn't underestimate the Hulk and portrays him a lot like how he is in Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The Hulk's not a mute and he has a lot of hilarious nicknames for the Avengers.

It would be neat to see the "hero" Hulk, especially in Avengers. Unless Hulk is the villain, which I know nothing of the plot so I dunno.

I really love how the Hulk is portrayed in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Lets not forget that The Hulk and Banner are two distinct personalities. So the film can feature both characters in Avengers without Hulk just being Banner's super-power. Won't it be marvelous to see the expression on the others faces when Hulk refers to Banner in the third person, magnified by the realization that they must humor the Hulk to avoid making him angry.

That's what I want to see afan. That you sort of have to walk on eggshells with the Hulk and appease him and his ego a little bit.

I hope Whedon is bold enough to do it because the previous movies wouldn't really go there.

I don't know how exactly to explain it, but I would like to see the Hulk with Banner's intelligence, just reduced some. Not brainic intelligence, but not a muted beast either. I would like to see him speak, but not like a caveman, just with some misgivings. you know what I mean?

^ Dude, you are taking what I said out of context. Quote the complete statement.

Out of context? It's one-inch below your statement, not to mention he actually put a link to your statement in his quote.

Yikes.

And for the record, I'd rather cough blood from my eyes than see a Hulk with Banner's intellect.

^ Yeah, lol....you are showing your level of intelligence.

I believe it was confirmed by both Josh and Mark that the Hulk would be presented as a HERO in this film, and given as to how the official press statement released by MARVEL situated the Hulk's character as a hero, let alone having placed his actor's seat alongside the big three in that first official photo that they released, I imagine that the Hulk has a pretty good and heroic role in this film.

I'm just glad that they had included TIH in their line of MARVEL films listed for their official press statement since that just further means that they consider it as continuity still.

Hulk should be a hero. It makes sense that the team will have to "rangle" him in at the beginning of the film, but after that he should be side by side with the other three as they smash their way through Loki and the Skrulls.

I'd love to see Hulk on screen finally speaking with some intelligence!,Bruce in the end of TIH seems he can now control when to become Hulk and so perhaps he can also now be able to control speaking a bit while being Hulk!?

I have no problem with Hulk possibly being considered a threat&villain,as long as not the main one and Furry&Avengers consider him one of them by half of the movie!

You should pick up an issue of the current Incredible Hulk comic, Hulk is smart...but not nearly as smart as Banner. It's a pretty good dichotomy, I'm hoping this is where they're taking the movie Hulk.

well im looking forward to The Hulk being able to cut loose and not hold back on whoever ends up being the bad guy. and im assuming theres gonna be a large amount of enemies for him to tear through.

If it's an alien invasion that the Avengers are faced with (Skrulls), then there's a VERY GOOD chance of that happening on screen.

I'm wondering though if we'll find Banner still at that cabin in the woods (at the end of TIH) when we see him again in the Avengers

Yeah I'm lookin forward to seeing Whedon showcase Hulk and Thor's "powerhouse" roles in the action scenes. I can't wait to see those two plowing through enemy hordes like Bulldozers.
