The official "Batman" comic book thread

I really don't recall anything of that nature happening in this arc, or even in TLH and Hush. it could be that you simply fail to recognise that Gilda Dent's "confession" is but evidence of her psychosis, so as to illustrate the far-reaching effect of the events of the story, particularly in regard to the Harvey Dent story; even his wife has been irreversably damaged-destroyed.

regardless, neither loeb nor daniels have ever done anything of the sort, even when accounting for exaggeration

I dont remember much of TLH right now to be able to respond with arguements.

Kids, I'm pretty sure all opinions are welcome here. Name calling, however, is not. So, let's try to continue the discussion respectfully.

Really enjoyed the latest issue. Great to see The Penguin being a major player in the underworld, as using Batman as his tool for revenge.

Well there is no doubt that I am stupid, but what was the final clue that put the nail in the coffin for
Arkham
being black mask?

The spoiler tag is a response to IBRAH08:
#695 = Jeremiah Arkham uses a revolver with rubber bullets.
#696 = Black Mask uses a revolver which has Rubber bullets.

That was the final coffin that confirmed it was Jeremiah and not the Mayor or Mario Falcone for example. Tho you could detect it was Arkham even before issues 695-6 but this was the final nail to confirm it. :)

OOOOOOOOh Thank you very much. It's all quite apparent now.

Because i read the comics and used common sense.

Also because the Arkham Reborn mini and the character's role in BftC heavily implied it. My favorite part of this issue besides Damian was seeing Dick pull a "Bruce" on damn near everybody when he took the antidote from the mayor's office.

You said there were subtle clues. List them.

Read Arkham Reborn and also when they go to the party in the life after death arc and we see BM's first person POV it's clear that he's very well known by Gotham officials but is not the mayor or anybody else that he greets.

Their is also a mad scientist theme to this new BM, notice how his entire "ministry of science" is made up of mad doctors? who could be madder than a doctor who has clearly finally snapped and manifested an evil personality as show in Arkham Reborn?

Last time this gets repeated before people get infracted and/or removed. If you have a problem with another poster, I suggest making use of the ignore feature before engaging in more schoolyard banter. Leave the 'troll', 'idiot' and other useless prattle out of it.

If you think this note might apply to you, it probably does. Come on, guys. I'm using the 2.3% of my persona that doesn't just want to ban everyone for the sheer fun of it. Agree, disagree, whatever. Just be respectful about it.

Great preview. Strong hint there as to who Black Mask is.

Can someone explain to me what is the Devil's Square? Is it supposed to be a region of Gotham and Black Mask is hiding somewhere in the endless caverns underneath it?

That is definitely still Dick, good to see.

Devils Square is the rather melodramatically named area of Gotham that the millitary have got the Black Mask's forces pinned down in. :yay:
