The soundtracks for the Schumacher Batman movies in particular were pretty stacked. There were a fair amount of similar comic book movie soundtracks in the '90s and '00s like The Crow and the Blade movies but the other big ones that I remember were the Raimi Spider-Man movies and Daredevil. The difference between those soundtracks and the ones that we've seen come out of the MCU and DCEU is that for the most part, the songs from Batman Forever, Spider-Man, Daredevil, etc. were written and released specifically for those movies. I consider those to be a different category than the more jukebox style soundtracks of the MCU like we've heard in the Guardians movies and Endgame, to name a few. There are a few exceptions though, like how The Avengers had its own soundtrack released even though the Soundgarden song was the only one heard in the movie, and Aquaman had some songs written specifically for it as well. Still, none of them really caught hold of pop culture like those Batman 89 and Forever soundtracks. Even though I was only 7 years old at the time, I still remember you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing "Kiss From A Rose" in the summer of '95.Is it just me or does Forever have an unusually diverse and abundant pop soundtrack for a '90s comic-book film? I know it's been ramped up some more in recent years, what with Snyder doing it all the time. But prior to Snyder? I don't recall it being done that much in comic-book movies in the 90s/00s. The closest thing I can think off, offhand, is Prince's '89 soundtrack.
Why is the cut from Brandy’s name to Two-Face punching a guy in the face making me laugh so hard?
Batman Forever had an awesome soundtrackI had BF on VHS as a kid and that ad would play before the movie. I had not seen that ad since what, 1996?
