Both. The story telling was not as good. Stuff like the over reliance on Kingpin. Morbius being over used. Doc Ock was reduced to a lackey etc. The animation was constantly being recycled.
Although I've only watched the first season, I felt that X-men was a good show. Sure it had that 90s Saturday morning cartoon feel to it, but I thought the vibrant animation and portrayal of the comics were great. And c'mon, the intro will have you humming for a while, like Batman TAS.
Who thinks TMS did the best episodes? they are masters at TV animation and do some quality film animation too with Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland to Akira
I know this is Batman TAS, but I just saw one of the darkest endings to a S:TAS episode. It is called "The Late Mr. Kent". SPOILERS: In the end, when a murdering detective is about to be executed, he discovers Clark's secret that he is Superman, and the last shot is the undertaker pulling the lever of the gas that inevitably kills him. Now that is irony!
these are awesome! would love to see a scene like this in future live action films. the closest we got was in Batman '89 when Bruce left roses where his parents were murdered.
