I like both guys, I enjoy watching them both fight quite a lot, I just think Floyd is a better fighter.

Iron Stark, just compare Floyd and Manny's last 10 fights. They really are similar, with 5 different fighters crossing over between the two. I don't understand how you can complain about one and not the other.

You can complain about Baldomir, but he was the legit Welterweight Champion at the time Floyd whooped him. Everyone that didn't cross over for either were legit fights at 147 and 154.

@ Darthskywalker, its not that I'm bashing Mays last 10 opponents while praising Pacs, all I ever say is between Pac and Mays common opponents (minus JMM) Pac defeated them easier and in more dramatic fashion. Something that's a fact.

Another thing is while Pac was fighting the great Mexican champions, (Morales, Barerra, JMM) May was fighting the Ndous of the world and making the easiest fights possible. All those fights between Castillo and DeLaHoya.

So while I may come off as a Pac fanatic, no I'm not, (not especially since him KO'ing the great Erik Morales who I will admit I was/am still a huge fan of, Morales who was more of a man and made better crowd pleasing fights than both Pac and May combined), I just think he has had the better career and will be remembered longer than May.

Why exclude the best guy either of them have fought? Especially considering Manny time after time has found JMM someone he can't truly figure out?

As to the other guys, the "facts" are more then a little deceiving.

Oscar was a ghost against Manny. That that fight took place at 147 was ridiculous. Oscar looked near death and he fought like it. I think the last time he had fought at that weight was Gatti, 7 years before. That is why Roach took that fight.

Cotto literally had no trainer when he fought Manny and was having stupid trouble for a while making 147.

In both situations Mayweather moved up to fight each man at 154.

Both men knocked out Hatton. That Floyd's style is more methodical doesn't change that. But even then I'll give you Ricky.

The last is Shane, and well Shane ran in both fights after getting hit hard.

I'd take Floyd's wins over JMM and Oscar, give them a draw with Shane and Cotto, and give Manny the Hatton fight.

I'm on record as being a huge De La Hoya fan in his day. I like Cotto and always did. I like Danny Garcia right now. And speaking of Floyd, he himself does more for race among his own team than anybody else I've ever seen. He has Whites & Latinos on his team, which is more than I can say for anyone else. I don't see black guys around Mexican or Puerto Rican fighters, definitely not White fighters.

I like a particular style of boxer, and in most cases, it's a style blacks more often use. I like craft, I like slick, I like boxers more than fighters. I like technique, I like strategy and more cerebral approaches. You step in the ring, no matter what your approach or style, it takes something special to do. The dedication, the training, that sh** is for real, I don't care who you are. I was on record saying I thought Canelo would beat Mayweather, I LOVE Sergio Martinez, and think Cotto is a true warrior. And that's what I gave him. He is known to go into fights as much as 170 lbs! I figured he had a punchers chance against Floyd. He just couldn't hit Floyd and appeared to gas out as the fight went on. We will see what he does against Angelo, though I think he will beat him soundly. I know Lara has been calling him out but we will see if he answers the call for that one.

I don't know man. I give both of those guys punching chances against Ward. But honestly, I can't blame Ward for not going up. All the big money fights are 168 and below. If he fought Adonis or Kovalev, for a boxing purist like us, we'd love it. But it's not a ppv fight. If Ward fought Chavez, GGG, or Sergio....those are ppv fights. Noone above him has that kind of drawing power.
