HBO finally had an excellent card last weekend. They desperately needed that considering the ass-whooping Showtime has been putting on them all year long.

Love youtube having full fights. I don't know too many boxers so I just watch random fights. Watched Diaz vs Marquez. I really like Marquez style.

Agreed. I hope this opens people's eyes up to Bob Arum. He's the main reason Mayweather-Paq didn't happen and with him basically being the main guy at HBO, having only Top Rank guys fight there, it shows just how much of a slimeball he is. Nonita Donaire is about to fight a guy he already beat up badly, way past his prime and a guy he towers over again but yet this is a fight people want to see? Arum is scum of the earth.

Are you talking about Juan Manual Marquez? Watch him fighting Mayweather. He couldn't even touch him.

I'm 7 rounds in. Yeah, Mayweather is in another class. This weekend I also watched Manny vs Dela Hoya. That was pretty bad. As bad as Ali last fights.

Buster Douglass vs Mike Tyson is easily one of my favorite fights. Epic fight. Also, the best commentary I've ever heard on a fight!

I don't think Mayweather is going to have any issues with Canelo. He barely beat Trout.

I think Mayweather is going to have serious issues with him. He's a bigger fighter who's just as fast. I actually think Canelo may knock Floyd out but I hope I'm wrong.

Seth Mitchell let me down. I can't believe he lost in the first round. Here's hoping he bounces back!

I doubt that. Only fight I've seen with him is the Trout fight and I wasn't too impressed. If everything goes his way then I can see him possibly staggering or maybe even knocking Mayweather down, but winning, or having issues, No. I can't see it.

I hope you are right but I don't see the fight being as one sided as people are making it.

I think you're seriously underestimating Trout as a fighter and therefore undervaluing what Canelo was able to do to him. Trout is a goddamn stylistic nightmare for anyone, and yet Canelo was never uncomfortable in the ring with him. Not for one moment.

The megafight next weekend is a virtual coin flip.

Hell of a win for Arreola, glad to see him back on the win column. On the flipside, Mitchell needs to find a new line of work, and it goes to show that football players don't automatically make for good fighters.

Marquez needs to retire already.

@ the last son, Trout was no chump, as already said, he'd give anyone problems, look at what he did to Cotto, arguably beat him better than Mayweather. Or atleast didn't get as busted up as Mayweather did. And barely beating Trout? Really? He had Trout swinging at air for most of the fight, he hurt Trout on multiple occasions, he dropped Trout and it wasn't until they started reading the open scoring that he let off the gas when he had a comfortable lead.

After seeing the latest episode of Access, lol at Mayweather paying those ugly girls to be around him and buying them crap. The guy seriously has insecurity issues, brilliant boxer but insecure as hell.

And LOL at fat Broner, he's a rapper now?? lol, I can't wait until Maidana exposes him for the farce that he really is.

Watching Antonio Margarito vs Miguel Cotto. This is my first time watching Cotto and I'm impressed with his skill.

That's why we fight 12 rounds huh? Good fight. Margarito really went at Cotto body and tired him out. Margarito could take a punch, goodness. Going to watch the second fight now.

Cotto dominated that second fight. Did Mayweather really just fight in May? That's sort of soon to be fighting again isn't it?

Have to agree with everything you said, especially about Broner and those beasts Mayweather had around him. One of those ****s had the gall to say all of the women that Mayweather hires are hot and drop dead gorgeous.......and she was one of the ugliest ones. I do understand why people want Mayweather to lose but I think some of it is part of the Mayweather persona he does so people can hate him. And Broner is just an ass, straight up.

I don't see how anyone can hate Mayweather if you don't know him. If you are reading about him or watching reality tv, you are probably spending too much time in his personal life. I don't know or care too much about his personal life. All I know is he is one of the best boxers I've ever saw.

Our worst fears could be coming to fruition.

Following the Texas Longhorns’ upset loss to BYU, passionate football fans across Alabama were appalled to learn that Nick Saban, architect of the current Crimson Tide football dynasty, will be traveling to Texas this weekend as predicted by many West Georgia residents over the past few seasons. Under strict condition of anonymity, sources close to the Alabama program have confirmed that Saban is in fact ticketed on a flight to Texas in the latter part of the week. With Mack Brown finding himself squarely on the hot seat, one can only assume that the Texas AD will pull out all the stops in effort to ensure that Saban’s trip is of the one-way variety.

I don’t think I have to detail just what the loss of Saban would mean to the Alabama program. He has proven himself to be a peerless recruiter and developer of talent while dominating the biggest games from a coaching perspective. His three BCS titles in four seasons is literally unprecedented, though those in Austin and West Georgia would assert that he would have only two of those had Colt McCoy been able to play the entire game in the 2010 Rose Bowl. At this point I’d rather not even speculate on potential candidates, as the thought of losing Coach Saban is simply too much to Bear.

As many in West Georgia have asserted, there is plenty to attract Coach Saban to Austin. The state of Texas offers the most fertile recruiting grounds in the country, unparalleled television exposure, and no state income tax. Having built a dynasty in Tuscaloosa, the current Texas situation would provide an additional challenge and opportunity to dominate a new conference. To be sure, the Longhorns’ roster is hardly devoid of talent, allowing for a quick turnaround and corresponding gratification. Some suggest that coaching Texas Longhorns football is the most desirable job in college athletics.

As of this writing the exact date and time of a potential interview in Austin is unknown. Saban himself continues to deny the rumors, claiming that any visit to Texas- should there be one- would be for the express purpose of destroying an upstart and vastly overrated team in College Station. I considered asking him about it directly, then thought better of it for fear of the death stare. In any case, unconfirmed reports and message board comments have speculated that Texas will be offering in excess of $10MM per year, a private jet, unlimited Little Debbies, and whatever is necessary to placate Mrs. Terry and convince her to move. All we can do at this point is cross our fingers and believe that the University of Alabama will step up and do what it takes to ensure that Coach Saban sticks around beyond this season.

Hope for the best.

Hope it happens.

Mayweather is getting up there in age. I know he is still at the top of his game, but he seriously needs to consider retiring out on top.

Just watched Mayweather vs Guerrero. Another Boxing clinic by Floyd.
