Adonis Stevenson fighting a Super Middleweight in Sakio Bika today.

What's up with Paulie Malinagga's eyebrows? And why can't he sit still? You'd think he was on drugs.

Not really a Stevenson fan but man is he entertaining the crowd. Bika has an unbelievable chin.

He can't even pull 10,000 in his hometown. He has apparently been rejected by both HBO and Showtime already. Wants too much money to fight a nobody apparently. Ward is a tragic joke. Froch offered him a rematch, and Wade suddenly forgot how to speak English. :hehe:

This is the delusional part of boxing though, how can the one who got dominated...offer anything to the guy who dominated him? It doesn't matter how long Ward's been out, he completely overwhelmed Froch until he decided he had it in the bag and gave some rounds away, so how is Carl gonna be calling shots? Wanting redemption? Sure. "Offering" something to Ward? Not quite.

I think Ward would kick his ass again, but Ward has been gone for years and Froch has dominated the division since then. He is the money guy in the division. Ward is an after thought.

Freddie Roach sure is talking a lot more in this fight than I've ever heard him. With rumors of Manny being schooled in space sessions by his partners, not being focused, leg cramping.........I think it's all a diversion because his own fighter doesn't seem to be focused. Floyd is training waaaayyyy differently than normal, which is troubling because there does appear to be some doubt there now that the fight is signed but I wouldn't be shocked if he stopped Manny. Manny being knocked out cold by JMM then fighting pillow punchers like Bradley and Algerie may come back to bite him.

I don't get why Floyd brought in bigger guys. You would think he'd want smaller, quicker sparing partners.

They're both doing a few thing's out of character in their camps apparently. I think this fight is making them both a bit loopy.

Which is stupid from Floyd. He even looks like he bulked up a bit. The guy is 47-0, no need to change a thing.

I don't get that either, especially since Manny is smaller than him. That's kind of why if the rumor of him being knocked out in training camp were true, I'd kind of believe it.

Who was knocked out, Floyd? Some say it is for the power, but I'd be more worried about Manny's speed, not power.

Allegedly Floyd was knocked out during a sparring session but everyone in his camp is denying it. If he's sparring with bigger guys(which is stupid IMHO)then I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. With him bulking up, that may take some of his speed away as well.

He is going to try and Marquez him. Don't like it.

I'm going to say what every Manny fan is thinking: with Floyd putting on that weight and Alex Ariza in his corner..............yeah........I'm going there. One would counter that with if Manny is so worried about Floyd using because of Ariza, wouldn't that make the rumors of Manny using with Ariza more valid? I don't know, Floyd training way differently, bringing in Ariza, not trash talking at all...............it's just odd honestly. Manny is talking way more than normal and Roach won't shut up. This fight has done a 180.

This would be a very odd time to start doping. And yeah, this whole thing is getting weird.

The bottomline is Floyd is going to try and make a statement. I hoped he wouldn't try to prove a point, and just fight his normal fight, I think doing that he would've had a good shot at stopping Manny anyway. But after 5 years of irritation, he's understandably ready to hurt that man. As long as he's careful, should be entertaining. And he's not talking simply because he doesn't need to play his villain role to sell this fight. So for once, he can just concentrate on training and not have to participate in the promotion at all.

All the talk from Roach though, is interesting, to say the least. I think he knows full well Manny could be in for a long night...

He can thank dem Ariza Shakes and Memo "the Chemist" Heredia for that.

Plus he has the NSAC in his back pocket, so there should be no problem with him passing the drug tests.

EDIT:

Why is everyone acting like Roach is talking more than usual? Nobody keep up with the Rios, Margarito, De La Hoya fights? He was talking way more trash in those.

PBC is on NBC now. Getting ready to watch.
A lot of people hate the walk to the ring that PBC has but I think they are taking something that wrestling has made big. I actually like the entrance thing.

On a lighter note, Floyd haters are coming up with all the excuses already:
1)If he KO's Manny, he's on the juice
2)if he outboxes Manny, he ran all night
3)If he wins by decision, he paid off the judges.
Floyd just can't catch a break.

What do you guys think the chances are in this fight? Would 60-40 in favour of Floyd be reasonable?

I agree with all of this.

That's putting it lightly! :lmao:
I think Floyd is a heavy favorite, but Manny has a legit shot of winning.

Danny Garcia looked horrible tonight. If not for Peterson starting way to late in the fight, he would have beat Danny easily.

De la hoya/Trinidad all over again. Garcia was outclassed, Lamont won easily. I can't think of 3 rounds I could give Danny, smh...

Yeah I agree. This is the second time I thought Garcia lost but it is what it is.

Danny Gracia has been really poor in his last 3 fight's should've lost the Herrera fight as well.
