Cotto/Canelo would NOT be easy for either fighter. But it looks like Kirkland may be next for Canelo.

Cotto and Mayweather will never fight again, Cotto is still with Arum. Infact Mayweather doesn't have many options, which is why he ran back to Golden Boy to make the fight with Maidana.

Speaking of which, Mayeather is acting more and more like a little b-ch with his diva demands and what not. Especially about the gloves, the same brand and model gloves that have been approved for decades by every commission around the world. And to compare it to the Margarito and Resto fights? Smdh. Oh but it's ok when his fighters like J'leon Love wear them.

But his healf come first doe. TMT, cleaning up the sport, even though his guys were caught juicing and they can wear "unpadded" gloves.

Just saw the canelo/Lara fight and I think Lara won. But I give Canelo credit for taking on all comers. I has him losing by 3 points.

It's going to bomb. No way does that fight do good in the States. In Asia it may very do well.

GGG fight tonight. Sorry just not impressed with him. His defense sucks and he gets hit at will. I honestly believe Lara would beat him and no question Ward would. He's a wild puncher and has fought nothing but cab drivers. Straight hype job!

Golovkin has TNT in his hands. he's the real deal but no one wants to fight the guy. Geale at least was a level up from the competition he's faced previously. hes' going to move up eventually but he's 32 now so might as well clean up the Middleweight division.Golovkin vs Cotto would be epic.

Do not believe the hype! Lara has called him out but his response is there's no money in the fight. Ward wants to fight him but he insist on taking 70% if the pot when they are both equal in popularity. JCC Jr wants to fight him but Arum want to rob him for a few more years and is preventing that fight from happening. All this crap about him being the most feared man in boxing is bs. He's been called out numerous times but his response is they don't bring in any money. Heck Bernard Hopkins called him out and he's yet to respond.

Old man Bernard has been campaigning at 175lbs no way is he coming down at his age or do you expect Golovkin to move up two divisions to fight him?.

Ward can't fight anybody at this moment time and he can't sell s***. I've not heard about the Lara or JCC Jr potential fights but they're doable.

Hopkins said he'd come down to 168 to make that fight. Lara has called him out on Twitter numerous times. JCC JR wants to make the fight but Bob Arum has said the only way that fight is happening is if Chavez signs a 2 year extention and Jr said that ain't happening and I don't blame him. Once his contract is up, he can make the fight happen on his own without the middle man. I agree about Ward though. It's a shame what is happening to his career and I don't get why he is so mad at his promoter. He has gotten him into the Super Six and he won it. He got him a Chad Dawson fight where Dawson had to come down and fight him. And not to mention most if not all of his fights have been in California, which is kind of crazy for boxing. The guy has done wonders with his career but yet he seems pissed at them for whatever reason. Anyway, GGG is a beast but any decent boxer with decent power would give him problems. I'd venture to say that he's taylor made for JCC Jr to beat him because he lacks movement. And I truly think Ward would embarass him. I also think Lara would beat him as well.

If Lara was afraid of Canelo's power, I could just imagine what he'd do against GGG. He'd wear running shorts and track shoes.

Lara can call anyone he wants on twitter, on line he's a fighting warrior, in the ring, he's a track star.

The sport is boxing. You hit and don't get hit. If you want to see savage animals with no boxing technique go to youtube and watch back yard brawls.

Yeah, the main point is hitting, HITTING. Lara ran in the Canelo fight, there were two instances in round 5 where he almost turned his back to Canelo. Atleast Mayweather stood infront of Canelo, made him miss and then proceeded to make him pay doing what? That's right hitting Canelo, not running.

If I wanted to see a marathon runner I'd wait for the summer Olympics to return.

Lara vs GGG would be boring and I doubt anyone would want to see that in favor of potential matchups with Cotto, JCC Jr, Canelo and whatever other middleweights are out there. Plus it's high risk very low reward.

IF GGG is this monster that people make him out to be, then he should be able to box Lara. GGG gets hit at will and I can honestly say, with confidence, that if he ever fought JCC Jr., he'd get KTFO! His defense sucks and he relies way to much on that one punch. Not sure Lara would beat him but he'd make it interesting. My point is all this BS about him being the most feared boxer in boxing is BS. He's been called out numerous times but he picks and chooses who he wants to fight. It amazes me how he says Ward doesn't bring any money to the table but Daniel Geale did? BS if I ever saw it.

I had the fight a draw, but in no way did Lara nor Canelo do anything convincingly to win the fight my mind. Lara was all talk before the fight then ran the whole fight thinking he was going to win using Olympic style point system and Canelo for the life of him does not know how to properly cut of the ring. ugh. Why was this on PPV??!! I'm glad I streamed it.

Good thing I had to work because I live and breath boxing and had I been off, I probably would have ordered it. I had Lara winning by 2 points but wasn't really mad that Canelo won, just mad that one judge had him winning by a landslide.

Agreed on GGG. He hasn't fought one person thus far that would really show how good he is (or isn't), and it's not because they're all scared lol. Almost without exception, a great boxer (hell, even a decent one) will beat a great puncher 9 times out of 10. Particularly when you have nothing in the way of craft or technique to help setup your power shots. It's why I hardly ever get on board with whoever the new flavor of the year might be after he scores some knockouts. If there isn't some kind of skillful use with the power, it's only going to get you so far.

On Ward, certainly as a fan of his, it's frustrating that he's not out there more. But like I said before, if location were the only sticking point to some of these fights getting made, they would've been made. I highly doubt he'd miss a hefty payday and/or the opportunity for more notoriety just to stay in Oakland. None of these guys really want to fight him, it's that simple. Had he not wound up in a weak era as far as his division is concerned, he'd already be a bigger name almost by default...

Middleweights there aren't many what you can call full blown 160lb-ers.

The champions of that division are Golovkin (WBA) Cotto (WBC) Soliman and Australian who is IBF champ and Quilan (WBO). That's not what you can call legit champs even Cotto you can say isn't one at the 160lb division because he fought an old and past it Sergio Martinez in his only fight at that division.

I agree. The division is really weak right now. If he wants a big fight, he's going to have to move up because no smaller fighter is going to fight him, neither should they.

He moves up to Super Middleweight and that division is barren as well. Sure the guys are bigger and they hit as hard as GGG if not a tad harder as they're heavier guys but who is there?.

Froch has maybe one fight left before he calls it quits. Rumour is JCC Jr is being lined up. God knows when Ward will fight again and if he does he can't have GGG as a comeback fight.

Arthur Abraham and Bika are the other champs of the division.

The 168 division is barren aswell. Its funny how you keep harping in how GGG should move up, but make a million excuses on why Ward shouldn't move up and fight the light heavies. Which there are plenty of challengers. Plenty.

On another note, Broner is fighting some tomato can named Emmanuel Taylor and Matthyse is fighting another can September 6. First Garcia is fighting that Salsa guy, now this nonsense, smdh. Thanks Al Haymon.

Haymon is bad for boxing. Worse than Arum with this crap.

Agreed. I don't remember the division dying this fast before. At one point it was one of the toughest divisions around but it's just gone dry. I do think there's better competition in SMW than ME though.

I didn't say Ward shouldn't go up, he shouldn't go up yet, huge difference. I think he and GGG should have a catch weight and then go from there. It's getting to the point where these guys have to do something to light a fire in their divisions.

I don't think Haymon is bad for boxing per say and he definitely isn't worse than Arum. Dude is the scum of the Earth. I will say he's very powerful and needs to let his fighters take harder fights. These Garcia, Broner, and Peterson fights are bs.

Watch this that idiot Shannon Briggs confronts Wlad Kliitscko at a restaurant.

Saw that. It looked so staged. I will say its getting people to talk about the heavyweight division again which has been dead for a minute. It make take some of these WWE moments to get people talking about the division consistently.
