Agreed! Roach has said numerous times, heck Sergio said even himself that they took the fight because they thought he wasn't 100%, turns out they all were right. Sounds like Sergio's career is over. :csad:

Nah man don't do that now. You weren't trying to hear none of that earlier.

I told ya man Martinez knees had gone he barely beat Martin Murray in his last fight. I expected Cotto to win but not like this. Truthfully the fight was done in the first round after the three knockdowns. He'd have to climbed Everest one handed to beat Cotto after that.

Cotto lineal middleweight champion he can fight the likes of Peter Quillin (WBO) champ and get that belt.

Golovkin has fought nobodies I'd like to see him fight someone who doesn't go down the first time he's tagged.
Cotto beat a past his prime Sergio on a bad leg. If Cotto fought a GGG, he'd get slaughtered. The size is to much. I'm not reading to much into this win but Cotto did look good but it wasn't the Maravilla we all know.

That being said Docker, that didn't keep you from being obnoxious with your pick. :funny:

The difference was Freddie Roah he has been saying it for a while Martinez defense sucks Cotto couldn't miss

Honestly, Cotto would've always given Martinez some fits. He's an accomplished, decorated fighter the likes of which Sergio had never been in the ring with, his best opponent probably being Paul Williams up until that point. People take that sort of thing for granted because they're all professional fighters, but there's definitely levels to that.

Arum is a snake! This was Ruslan's last fight with Top Rank and he just "happened" to get robbed tonight. Mayweather said that if you leave Arum, you can expect a loss. Arum even predicted that he would lose and talked about Algeri fighting Paq which didn't make sense at the time because people wanted to see Ruslan fight Paq. No wonder Mayweather hates dealing with Arum.

Robbed my foot.Algiere kept him busy virtually every round with one eye closed! The double knock down is the only thing that kept the score close.I had it 114/112 Algiere.

Unexpected if I'm honest thought Provodnikov would win comfortably so kudos to Algrie. Maybe a rematch it was a SD win.

Demetrius Andrade V Brian Rose was a good fight too.

I had it 114-112 Ruslan. The first 5-6 rounds I thought he won with maybe 1 going to Algiere. After round 6, I thought Algiere took over but the two knock downs in the first round is what saved Ruslan. I still see Arum's slimy hand in this though.

Just saw the fight again and no way in hell did Algiere win that fight. Even Algiere himself and his family were shocked that he won. Most of the rounds that were given to Algiere were close and should have been given to Ruslan because he is the champion. The saying goes, in order to get his belt you really have to beat the champ and there are to many questions surrounding this win for a lot of people. And it seems like I'm not the only one.

I think the split decision seemed reasonable. It depends on what you look for when judging,I guess.I always prize a high output.Algiere was averaging 70 punches a round compared to Ruslan's 6.Now you can make a case 6 power punches trump 20 mid-level strength punches, but I never saw it that way myself.

Well,it was a good fight for Andrade.:woot: It showed he had some skills. But Rose was a sacrificial victim out there.By the 5th round,I was imitating Apollo's trainer Duke, from Rocky 4 "Throw the damn towel!"

Eh, it's all water under the bridge. I can't believe that they are talking about matching this guy up with Manny Paq this quickly. No one has really heard of him until after this fight.

:whatever:

Gtfo. Robberies are Pac/Bradley I, Rulslan/Bradley, Mayweather/Maidana.

Ruslan started great, but Algeri outworked him in the mid to late rounds.

Anyway, tonights fights were good. I still don't see how that judge had the Lomachenco fight a draw.

The Guerrero fight was a damn war.

Guerrero fight was great to see.

oh and Lomachenko won a world title in his third fight against Gary Russell Jr.

A lot of times you get more action and excitement with these less hyped fights then the big pay per view events.

Dude I swear you post like a ****ing chick. :whatever: Again, I thought Ruslan won and I'm entitled to my opinion, just like other professionals who share my opinion that I posted. But that's old news. I enjoyed last night's fights and glad Dawson won. I'm not sure if he's back or not since he was 20 lbs over weight but had he lost, his career would have been over.

Who do you think is the best Boxer of all time? IMO I would have to pick Ali and my #2 choice would be Mike Tyson.

Sugar Ray Robinson

/thread.

Oh there's a boxing thread on here man.

I'm kinda new to this whole forum deal. So if there is a thread that is similar or about the same subject it gets moved? So if this gets moved would the poll still be valid? Because that is what I'm interested in seeing is the poll the results

Nah there's no poll thread on this topic but there's a general boxing thread.

I want to say that Pretty Boy Floyd is the best technical boxer I've ever seen, but he has ducked way too much competition to too be considered for me. It's a shame, because he can easily have beaten Cotto when he ducked him and various others.

If he faced Pac Man, I think it'll be his hardest fight yet and he'll scrape away with a win by decision (because of how good his technical skills are), but he is straight scared. I'm Filipino by the way.

I voted Marciano. Evander Holyfield is probably my all time favorite though. In his prime,he was virtually unstoppable.

If we're not talking strictly heavyweights, Julio Cesar Chavez is certainly up there.

I really think Manny could beat Mayweather! IF Mayweather can man up and actually fight and beat Pacquiao then he should be considered the best boxer of all time. They both are getting old and I REALLY hope they fight each other sooner than later!
