Hope the Marquez deal doesn't go through so he can fight Bradley in November. Undefeated, black, titlist in his prime. People won't be able to say anything about that choice of opponent.

Paquiao would smoke Bradley. That fight would probably never happen.

He's allegedly on the short list and it's the best available fight. Sergio Martinez is just unrealistic. Margarito's 17 lb advantage gave him more trouble than people seemed to realize. Fighting Martinez would be suicide.

Wasted 20 bucks to watch this freaking fight...

Same, Mosley just looked like he was there to collect a paycheck.

There's no way Arum or Roach would even let Paquiao get in an elevator with Martinez.

I don't know how legit it is, but on Boxrec.com Mayweather is penciled in to fight Victor Ortiz Sept. 17 at Cowboys Stadium.

Hopefully it sets up a fight between Pac/Mayweather later 2011 or early 2012.

Ortiz beat Berto who I wanted to fight Pac man but at least Mayweather back on the ring

I'm not sure if I've posted these before, but if you haven't seen these highlight videos. You're in for a treat. I posted them in order -top to bottom- of good to better to best imho.

Enjoy!

Sergio Martinez maybe the best boxer that anyone has not heard of. I honestly think dude could beat both Pac and Floyd. But neither of them will get in the ring with him because they both pick their fighters..................there I said it Iron Stark. And if you can honesty say that Pac doesn't after his last two debacles...........then the truth just isn't in you. :o

Wow. Pacquio is not even in the top 50. Did they say why he wasn't included?

Huh? I never said he didn't. He's been carefully picking his fights since around the time he got with Arum, except for maybe Cotto and Hatton. Plus his catch weight demands are complete B.S., either fight at 140 or 147, none of this making guys get drained or come in too heavy like he's going to do with Marquez in their proposed fight in November.

That said, it's as much his fault as Mayweather's the fight isn't getting made. One is afraid to lose his ZERO and the other is afraid of needles. The voice over guy from the Bud Light commercials needs to tell them to "MAN UP" and get in the ring already.

That ESPN list is a few years old, that's why he's not included.

A Iron Stark said it's older, I want to say 2002-2003 ish. Even still I am not sure Pac would rank among that list, if not for the lack of class of fighters of his era imho.

Not saying he doesn't belong on the list, but overall that list contains amazing fighters that fought amazing fighters. I could see him just missing the cut.

Agreed it's both of their faults, but if anything I think Mayweather is the one that looks scared. Unless they are just both trying to drive the figure up to $50 mil each, which I think would bring the first $100 mil purse?

But I am pretty sure Pac agreed to something close to Mayweather's demands for testing a while back didn't he?

Mayweather already balked at 50 million.

Gone are the days when fighters fought anyone anywhere anytime.

And as far as Pac not making the list? Doubtful, he'll atleast be ranked higher than Mayweather for sure when its all said and done.

True, also too many other factors involved. Which is why I have respect for a guy like De La Hoya, he may not have the greatest wins over all of his greatest opponents, but at least he was willing to take them on. He wanted to prove he was the best even if he fell short at times.

As far at that list, again I think it would need some re-arranging but as it is, I don't think -imho- Pac ranks higher than RJjr or Hopkins who both barely make the list.

Yea I remember skip bayless and the dude with the scar on his that's always announcing in all the big boxing events(forget his name) said that Pac man hasn't really beaten any great fighter...when he fought de la hoya he was semi retired

1. Skip Bayless is a moron and says the opposite of everyone every time just for shock value.

2. True, he didn't fight De La Hoya anywhere near his prime.

3. With the exception of FMjr there aren't a lot of great fighters right now for Pac to fight, but that's not his fault.

Congrats to the legend Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins on becoming the oldest fighter to ever win a championship.:up:

Roy Jones Jr needs to retire. If he keeps getting ko'd like that he's going to end up dribbling, punch drunk and with brain injury. Three losses in a row? Please retire Mr. Jones.

There are only 4 or 5 fights in boxing that really excite me at the moment & this is one of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lDZhnxAwS0&feature=topvideos_sports

David Haye vs Wladimir Klitschko on July 2nd.

This is a great promo I found on youtube, I don't know how long it's been available for however it is my first viewing of it. Anyway due to the back & forward they've been having for the past few years & the genuine hatred between each other it all is a good recipe for a good fight.

I'm pretty sure even though he wouldn't admit it that Haye has got under Wlad's skin with his constant barrage of trash talking.

I think Haye is gonna be too quick for Wlad & end up TKO'ing him late on in the fight, I expect Haye to have better cardio & be able to rain in good crisp punches in the later rounds.

I put my money on Wladimir. Although i wouldn't mind Haye winning just to shake things up in the heavyweight division. (even though Vitali would just avenge his brother eventually). He's got the tools to beat him but I just see Wladimir landing 1-2s the whole fight to a decision. I can't wait for this fight!

Hopefully Haye can keep it from becoming a snoozefest.

The big thing is the speed of Haye, he showed against Valuev that he is quick enough to get in & out of Valuev's range which is longer than Wlad's & tag him a few times while he is in Wlad's range.

However if Wlad keeps his jab active & can keep Haye at bay he could well frustrate & force Haye into an error.

Should be a good fight

So Wladimir Klitschko managed to edge out David Haye in a points victory.

He pretty much did exactly what I expected him to, he kept Haye at bay & out of range with his active jab.. which looked quicker that I can ever remember seeing it & quicker than I think Haye felt it was going to be.

He didn't have it all his way, Haye's speed & head movement was superb & forced Klitschko to waste alot of energy by missing repeatedly, but he just didn't have anything to get into Wlad's range to land some combos.

He blamed a broken toe, which he did then show to the cameras at the end, however even had his toe been ok I doubt the fight would have went any different with the same tactics.

Was a good fight though.
