Looks good.

Check this out (i know it's old but still...)

"We respect and appreciate the intense interest that our fans around the world have in

'Superman', and we went everywhere in search of a talented actor who would represent his look,
character and presence. We think Brandon is a gifted young performer who can re-energize this
iconic character and excite new audiences about the legend of Superman." --Jeff Robinov,
President of Production for Warner Bros. Pictures.
IMTA Alumni Brandon James (BJ) Routh has been cast as Superman in the Warner Bros. feature
film, Superman Returns. The film, to be directed by Bryan Singer, is scheduled to begin
shooting next month in Australia. The excitement over the long-awaited casting has made news
worldwide with CNN, MSNBC, Entertainment Weekly, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter all
covering the story that BJ has been cast as the new man of steel.
Like Christopher Reeve was when he was cast in the 1978 movie, Routh is a 25-year-old actor
best known for his soap work, including roles on One Life to Live and the MTV nighttime soap,
Undressed. He's also had guest-starring roles on Cold Case, Will & Grace, and Gilmore Girls.
He recently shot a role in his first feature film, Deadly.
Brandon James Routh competed at the New York 1999 IMTA. BJ joins a long-list of IMTA
alumni in coveted major film roles, including Jeremy Sumpter as Peter Pan, Elijah Wood as
Frodo Baggins in the Academy Award winning The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Sofia Vassilieva as
Eloise, Seann William Scott as Bo Duke in the 2005 film The Dukes of Hazzard, and Katie
Holmes as Batman’s love interest in the upcoming 2005 Batman movie, Batman Begins.
BJ Routh is represented by Mara Santino and Ryan Daly of Kazarian/Spencer & Associates.
Routh was chosen for the role of Superman following an exhaustive search that spanned the
United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Thousands of candidates were
interviewed before the final selection was made.
It’s a bird…It’s a plane…It’s IMTA’s New Man of Steel!

I'm not sure that's possible. I mean, a world-wide audition... And I don't know the right people.

Don't worry, it'll look much better on film. That's a studio pic taken for promotional purposes only. I think it was sent to toy makers or something like that. The way the suit look is intentional. You'll understand when (or if you ever) you see the movie. Wait for the sequels for his finalized suit. :)

I won't be seeing the movie. I hated the script with a passion, and I'm not liking anything we've seen and heard about it thus far. I'll give it a pass, thanks.

Getting back on topic, one thing I do hope for the Superman publicity stills is that they convey a sense of the character. The Batman stills are mostly just stupid poses and showcasing how bad the costume is. With Superman, I hope they (a) not only give Routh a proper superhero costume, but (b) create a sense the mood and feel of Superman. I want the way he stands, the backgrounds he's set against, and the style of the promo shots to drive home what Superman is all about, who and what he is and why he's so important. I want the photos to hint at something epic and larger-than-life, otherwise they'll be selling the character short. The first time I see Routh in the tights, I want to feel AWED and AMAZED. I don't want the pics of him to be bare-bones deals.

king krypton, you know, i always listen to you because your points are very logical and making so much sense (most of the time). but the way you talked about batman begin make me worry. what's wrong with it? isn't the script interesting? not that i'm very concern about batman but the result of this batman movie will surely have an impact on superman. i don't want batman fail.

I'm interested to know why you hated it that much when mostly everyone who read the script loved it. (I have not read the script myself)

BTW, what happened to the thread started by the scooper from Australia??? Even though there was no solid proof he was for real, I really liked what I heard! Did they move the thread? Or was it deleted?
