Eric Bana did a good job but because the movie didn't come close to most people's box office expectations and they are going in a new direction artistically anyways, I think they should clean house with new actors and a new Hulk model.
My choice for Bruce Banner would be Ashton Holmes from 'A History of Violence'. He had a 'hulk-out' moment during that flick and he can act. Plus he's young enough for sequels and Avengers movies.
Get younger actors and someone hot to play the Betty role. Just Hulk's luck he got Jennifer Connelly at her least hottest.
Hulk and Batman Begins had two thin leading ladies that were never sexy in their films and while both were great movies didn't come close to hitting BO expectations.
Then there's Spider-Man 1 and 2 fun, dumb popcorn flicks that coincidentally [I'm sure] have scenes of Kirsten Dunst wet, cold and protruding thru her thin clothing in both movies and it kills both times at the BO.
Again we see the thin, never sexy leading lady in Superman Returns hurt the Box Office. The once healthy and beautiful Kate Bosworth was too skinny to portray anything sexy.
Most Hulkfans will see this Hulk movie at least once regardless of who's playing who and the quality of the cgi or effects. It's how you bring in the typical summer movie audience and repeat movie-goers.
I think they should skew much younger than they did for the first one. Get young good to great looking people who can act to play Banner and the rest of the male casts. General Ross could be a handsomely fella in his late 40s, early 50s even.
And then with Betty Ross you get stacked hottie and show her being sexy a few times. She has to have passable acting skills but c'mon we just need her to look nice, be able to talk and scream in fear at the sight of The Abomination. We're not talking about Citizen Jane here folks.
