A 6 ft 2 inch, 200 pound Austrailian is a virtual unanimous choice here to reprise his role as Bruce Banner. Same with Sam Elliot and Jennifer Connelly. Despite the fact that they took the roles not out of interest in the characters and the Hulk but because they wanted to work with Ang Lee. There's a certain lack of imagination and creativity in the choices. I've seen a ton of movies since 2003. There's more than just 1 actor per character who could play those parts. Some might even do a better job of acting. And in the amaciated Jennifer Connelly's case will provide at least some eye candy during it to play off the horrific monster qualities that Abomination and a re-vamped Hulk might have. Even if you liked their performances, the fact that shooting for the sequel takes place 5 years later matters.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS to marvel studios.

ANG LEE to louis letterier.

137 MILLION dollar budget in a 100 million dollar blockbuster world.
100 million dollar budget in a 200 million dollar blockbuster world.

There's a trend here people. In the words of former Celtics coach Rick Pitino, Bana, Elliot and Connelly aren't walking thru that door.
I pray you never ever watch any of the X-men movies.
Trust me, if Hulk made you react so violently, you may never recover from X-men. Just stay clear of it. One comic fan to another. :woot:
p.s. The film could of been alot worse(watch X-men, Elektra, Daredevil, Catwoman etc to see what I mean).

Your kind aren't welcome here.

Do one!

Bring Bana back, he did an excellent job in the first movie. I say bring back the cast intact and everything will be OK.

^I agree, i just cant see it happening, defintately dont think Connolly will be back, and its not looking good for Elliot and Bana at the moment.

Correct me if I'm wrong. There has been no dollar amount set for the budget. Who came up with $1,000,000. As far as I can remember it was said to be over $1,000,000.

he said over 100mill, if it was more than the first one, he would have said so. Hence why everyone thinks it'll be lower than the first one.

Well I voted to bring Bana back as i think he is a great actor. Of course, his physical size, I think he is around 6'4" is not ideal but he seemed to portray physical weakness quite well.

Of course, this whole point is moot if the Director of the movie does not want him in the movie.

It would be like me arguing with Jones to put the Hulk more in his run after he had written out the story.......

You realise just the initial development costs willl probably cost more then that....

A $1m does not go far when doing movies with as much special effects a this one may require...

Hulk and Batman Begins had two thin leading ladies that were never sexy in their films and while both were great movies didn't come close to hitting BO expectations.

Don't wanna hijack the thread, but you're nuts if you think Batman Begins "didn't come close to hitting BO expectations." I think WB was more than pleased with $205,343,774 domestic and $371,853,783 worldwide, especially after the disaster that was Batman & Robin. Pleased enough to want to bring back Christopher Nolan for two sequels anyway.

All that aside, I'd love to see Bana again, but it ain't happening.

If Bana doesnt come back, i will probably lose interest in this movie to be honest. If he doesnt come back it will surely mean that he doesnt like the direction they are taking this movie in is not something a very good actor would want to be in, which could possibly be an indicator of the movies quality. In other words, we will get some crappy 100 minute action movie with no plot or heart al la FF or X3.

Personally, I always thought Bana was bad casting. He looks to tough and intimidating for the role. We need an actor that has a more mellow look.

Yes. Imo there's no need to bring him back. I say cut all ties and affiliations with the mess that was the 1st movie and lets get things done right this time.

^^You do realise that a lot of people on this board, including me, LOVED the first movie right?

My point being is there has been no dollar amount stated as of yet. Who knows, it could be $1,000,000.01 it could be $10,000,000. Both are over $1,000,000 as far as I can tell :oldrazz: :woot:

Keep hope alive

But most people didn't and alot of the people on this board won't make a dent in the boxoffice. And yes, movie studio's are out to make money...shocking I know.:wow:

Consistency is more than good. It's the key to everything in movies :p

I wouldn't count on it. I think going from the Hulk to the Incredible Hulk, with a new director and all, we'll probably see something similar to Batman when Schumacher took over the series. And actually, hard as it may be to believe, I mean that in a good way. Not saying the Schumacher movies didn't suck, but for all the problems they had, consistency really wasn't one of them. The Schumacher movies are supposedly sequels to the Burton movies and part of the same continuity, but you'd never know that to actually watch the movies. Different casting (with the exception of Alfred and Gordon), different visuals, different scores, completely different kind of movies, but consistency never seemed to bother anyone. It certainly didn't bother me. (It was the simple fact that the movies sucked that bothered me.) We'll probably see something similar with the new Hulk movie(s)

Of course. In fact under my previous s/n I had regular hostile bouts with regulars on these boards including, my old sparring partner, sava. However, I thought the hulk movie wasn't that great at all. It defnately had the potential but they screwd up the formula unecessarily imo.
