Man that sounds so epic! You certainly are a lucky Hypester! I would have gone all fanboy on Evans and Olsen and they probably would have had to escort me off the set haha

HeShe perfectly described a few of the set pics and video of the truck flipping in the Set/BTS pics thread.

If the reports are accurate then part of the film will involve some sort of virus or biological weapon. Cap and his team would probably need to sneak in there if there's something relevant to that.

One interesting thing I noticed while they were preparing for the stunt, was Captain America waving around a CGI stand-in prop that was shaped like a double sided hammer. Do you guys think that means he's going to get his hands on Thor's hammer in this movie?

That was just a portable fan, like the one he was seen using in the previous set pics :woot::cwink:

Is that IFD place supposed to be in Wakanda or Africa? Sorry in advance if someones already explained this.

Am I the only one expedting Wakanda to be CGI for the most part? That is if it makes an appearance in Civil War.

Likely not in Wakanda if they're using English writing.

You really can't build a place like that from the ground up, and there's nowhere in Africa that resembles it. I think they may pull a Tomorrowland.

No, I hope the whole thing is CG with little set pieces integrated. It should be very foreign looking.

Banner could barely pronounce the name.

its unlikely the general audience can even read Wakandan

...Because it's not a real language. That's why films have captions and subtitles.

An isolationist country that doesn't allow in foreigners is probably not going to have their signs written in English.

God knows what Wakanda is in the MCU. Might be panther statues everywhere, might be not.

Peyton Reed has been helping out with the Ant-Man parts of the movie.

About Scott Lang returning as an Avenger in Captain America: Civil War next year, Ant-Man director Peyton Reed was asked if he's been collaborating with fellow MCU directors Joe and Anthony Russo. "Yeah, definitely," said Reed. "As we were doing the movie and we were in post and they were getting ready to head out to Atlanta to do Civil War, we had a lot of conversations. And I actually wanted those guys to come in and look at our stuff, because there’s gotta be a lot of sort of crossover. I found myself getting extremely protective over the character of Scott Lang and talking to the guys, the writers, the Russo’s about, “He wouldn’t do that.” It’s important because there’s this continuity that has to happen in this universe. It was really, really great because I’ve known those guys for a long time and it was really good to sort of bring them in, show them stuff, and see them get jazzed about stuff that they were doing. I liked that about the process."

And possibly relevant for the discussion about potential CW character,
Feige confirms that Ant-Man ends with the set-up for Hope Van Dyne to become the MCU Wasp.

Also, an isolationist country probably wouldn't be the optimal place for an Institute For Infectious Disease which one would hope has a worldwide network to other institutes and researchers.

As for CGI vs location filming, my guess it will be treated like Asgard.

^^ That Asgard idea sounds right to me.

What I find strange now is that Bruce Banner wouldnt know about Wakanda already in Age of Ultron esp since its such an advanced nation and the fact hes super smart.

The food was excellent.

:hehe:

Interesting that Olsen is still filming. One early rumor was that she only had a couple of weeks on CW and she's been filming in Atlanta for over a month (though maybe that's been off and on) and has been there longer than Renner was.

My immediate thought is that Hawkeye's stuff might have been easier to get out of the way since he wasn't part of the Avengers at the end of AOU. If he gets back into the game to help Cap or something it makes sense that his part might be smaller than someone like Scarlet Witch, who was with the team at the end of the film (and thus logically has more reason to be in the story from the beginning).

It must stink to be on set with all the delicious food and you cant indulge cuz you need to be in good shape.

First off, I feel compelled to point out that the two are not mutually exclusive since Wakanda is in Africa. That being said, I'm seeing reports that it's Uganda.

They've been filming since April, haven't they? I'm sure Renner has filmed quite a bit... And there's nothing to say he won't be heading back to the set later on, either
