We do know which side SW is on.

It's not just you. It's been discussed endlessly ever since the sides were revealed.

Even in the comics Iron Man's side had a significant power advantage. Cap's side was mostly filled with street level heroes that relied more on skill than anything else.

I'd think her appearance in that concept art of the teams is more to show she may play a major role in the film, rather than anything else.

This.

People keep forgetting this is a Captain America film. It stands to reason that one of his most important supporting characters from the comics might have a significant role in this film.

I fully expect Bucky to be that character. 👅

And then the [blackout]ghost of Peggy Carter[/blackout]. 👻

Then Sharon ... maybe. Or Falcon.

😆😆

Well Black Widow and Spiderman really aren't great assets: they are both featherweights who rely on agility and skill to fight. Neither would be capable of holding a fight against Steve or Bucky (as we have already scene in Winter Soldier).

Then we also have Scarlet Witch on Cap's team, so that is a plus. Just sayin

Uhhhh... you do realize that Spider-Man is strong enough to literally tear someone in half, right? that's why he always pulls his punches when dealing with regular criminals...And there's also his Spider-Sense which makes him practically impervious to getting hit by someone as well-trained as Cap or Bucky even. He's way faster and stronger than both Cap & Bucky, and could easily take on both of them at the same time.

And how would MCU Peter rely on skill if he's just starting out as Spider-Man? he's probably just punches and kicks this early on in his short life as a superhero.

Yeah. I mean... Teen or not Spidey is an incredibly trong character. Just look at his ON SCREEN feats of strength so far from the Raimo films to the TASM films. He'd be an asset to any side.

Even if we set aside the comic book feats and Marvel's power scale, the On-screen version of Spidey is clearly stronger than Cap or Iron Man. It doesn't seem like either one of them could stop a runaway train with brute force unless Tony was wearing the Hulkbuster armor.

The Raimi films are stupid. The metal globe he lifted in Spiderman 2 was a feat for strenght level 5 or 6 characters (from 25 to 100 tons), while he is just level 4 (from 800 lbs to 25 tons). But hey, super strength means doing whatever the script needs you to do :whatever:

Most characters in comics have had power levels that vary from period-to-period, writer-to-writer. Movies are their own continuity, and while they shouldn't make too many changes to the source material, they can establish minor changes if necessary and hopefully adhere to their own parameters.

I hate the train scene so damn much.

Iron Man held his own against Thor. That is quite a feat in of itself even if his suit was quadrupled in power.

How powerful Spider-Man was in the Sam Raimi films is irrelevant. It's the MCU that matters. They'll probably keep in line with the comics and make him stronger than Cap, but weaker than Iron Man.

Sure, Spider-Man is stronger and faster, but Cap is better at strategy and tactics. In Civil War, when they first fought, Cap was like 2 or 3 steps ahead of Spidey, and schooled him a bit.

If you keep it in line with the comics Spidey is still lifting ten tons if not over. Back in the day Spidey was in the 15 ton category. He was WAY stronger than Cap and I dare say that is still stronger even than MCU Cap who has beyond simple peak human strength. Spider-Man is very strong. I think that the Raimi train scene is over the top too but even counting that out Spidey's SUPER strength has always been a part of the character in comics and on screen. Unless for the purposes of fitting him into the MCU ya'll want him Nerfed, which, after all this time actually getting him on screen interacting with the other Marvel heroes in live action... Why would you want that?

You do realize that Spider-Man is SIGNIFICANTLY stronger and faster than Captain America right?

The only advantage that Cap actually has over Spidey is that Steve is a much more skilled fighter.

This, even if Spidey is inexperienced, he only really has to land one full punch of Cap to beat him.

I also have to add that Cap schooling Spidey a little in the CW comic was a bit silly for me, that was a seasoned Spiderman whose agility and being much stronger should have meant he still had enough to win the fight.

We do know which side SW is on.

Sorry yeah we do know which side SW is on, but we don't know how much she is in the movie, she may only be in it at the start. Glad I am not the only one who feels Caps team are hopelessly outmatched, Vision alone could probably take on Caps team and beat them. I am hoping Caps team has a powerful trump card to unleash, it could even be SW.

Spidey was very strong during Lee and Ditko era in his TEEN years. He even singlehandedly owning the O4 X-Men(cyke,bobby,hank and warren) with little to no effort. But, since then he's been nerfed by writer-to-writer. I hope the Russos and M&M won't nerfing Spidey. He's still stronger and faster than the super-soldier serum duo(cap and bukcy).

Spidey has not been "nerfed" they just made other characters more powerful because they became more popular over time. In fact Spidey has become more powerful and capable over the years.

I really hope he is not nerfed either, it even annoyed me in the CW comic when Iron Man one shotted him and beat him, despite him having the Extremis armour I thought Spidey was nerfed there as well. I really hope he is not nerfed in the movie.

"The Raimi films are stupid"

Disagree 110% with that comment.

SM2 is one of the greatest cbms ever made. I know a lot of people including myself were disappointed with SM3 but the second one is just a darn great film.

 its still in my top 5 CBMs of all time to this day.

I actually enjoy Spider Man 3 too. As weird as it gets, I still like it. I love those movies. They were so easy to get into. The characters, the action/FX sequences, the humor just worked great. Sam was the perfect guy to direct Spidey. For me they were the closest thing we got to the ones in the MCU before it ever started.

Spidey was clearly nerfed during CW comic, he was in his strongest incarnation as the other during CW(cosmic spidey or beyonder spidey didn't count) where he has increased super strenght, organic webbing and stinger. But, they nerfed him in that one Iron man solo issue tie-in.

There is no indication that Widow was ever a Level 10 Security Clearance within the MCU (the comics aren't canon to the films - if that's where you're pulling that from). The only Level 10's that were known about in the MCU (before the collapse of SHIELD) were Nick Fury and Alexander Pierce. Sharon's Security Clearance in the MCU was never stated (I doubt her code name being Agent 13 has anything to do with her Security Clearance)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_S.H.I.E.L.D._members just search for Black Widow in this page

Definitely, I just hope the movies don't follow suite as that would be incredibly disappointing.
