I just youtubed an interview with him and yeah his voice is deep. I did see his physique for Lights Out on Google and with the beard he is a dead-ringer for Luke.

Yeah I remember from the following and lights out, and recently saw him in soa and dexter. Going back and seeing him in lights out really helps cement him as my pic. With a role like this it could put him in the circle of black actors who can get some recognition, which I'd love to see as a black man myself.

Yeah, he was great in Lights Out and got really huge for it. I still wish that show would have been renewed for at least a second season.

You should watch Baby Boy.

Omari is 40 but can easily play low 30s

This guy is my top choice, although his star is rapidly rising and Marvel may want to use him to play a certain "King of Wakanda"

My secondary choices are Taye Diggs and Morris Chestnut, but I am warming to Billy Brown.

Morris chestnut is poor actor and Taye looks about as tuff as a cotton candy

Speaking of Dexter alums, I could also see Eric King (Doakes) as Cage.

Chadwick Boseman is a better Luke Cage than T'Challa IMO. He's my fifth or sixth option as T'Challa at this point.

How about Aldis Hodge as Luke Cage? I here that there are people who want him for T'Challa, but I don't know about that.

I know there was a recent interview where he said he was one of his favourite heroes when he was younger, but I think Cress Williams could do a good job. He's quite built these days and when he wants to he has an instant warmth that I think might help Cage's character.
