from the way snyder was talking in the article i read on darkhorizons, its defo a young superman probably just as he arrives in metrpolis and id bet on its origins being similiar to that of the Superman Earth One comics which are due to release. If thats the case then it prob rules cavill, welling and hamm out. So likely wed be looking at someone 20-25yrs old somebody like james lafferty perhaps can't really think of many who'd fall into that category

I don't really understand why so many people will dismiss certain actors for Superman because they're too old, but there never seems to be any sort of age cap on who can play Lex Luthor. What people often seem to forget is that in the comics, Lex and Superman are the same age, and the same is true with the cartoons and most of the other TV incarnations. The only version of Superman that broke with this was Donner's version, which Singer emulated. I'd prefer that this time they broke with Donner's "tradition" and actually stuck with how Lex is portrayed in the comic books.

At any rate, Jason Isaacs would be a much better choice for Brainiac than Lex.

Also, Superman ages slower than a human. He is not ageless, though.
