Watching Inception makes you wonder in Dicaprio could be a possibility for Superman. Would have to bulk up but quality actor for sure. Just a thought is all

*sigh* another

Leo is a great actor, but he's FAAAAARRR from Superman. childish face, pointy chin, adolescent voice, absolutely no bulk. totally wrong for Superman.

yeah I may agree but Nolan does like to work with actors he is familiar with.

EVERY director brings back actors they're familiar with but he always casts appropriately. on top of that, he's not directing this movie.

not sure what you are trying to argue but would not be surprised at all. It is not that far out in left field to think it could happen. Do not tell me every director does it. It is a little different when it comes to a director that has the pull of Nolan right now. And yes I know he is not directing but I will guarantee you this he will have a lot of say, otherwise the movie would not getting made or his brother would probably not be directing. Is that not obvious?

that's obvious....but what's also obvious (at least to me, and i'm sure even the Nolan brothers) is that Leo is just wrong for the role of Superman. i don't mean to be rude or confrontational, but that's just how i see it.

He would need to bulk up, but the important things are:

1. He pretty much has the right look.

2. He can act!

Why not? FYI it's just a little suggestion; I'm not married to the idea at all.

Just my two pennies - not only is Leo incredibly wrong for Superman, I really couldn't ever see him being interested in the role. Same goes for the people who'd want him to play Lex. I can say, with near certainty, that neither will ever happen.

Oh god, people want Leo DeCaprio to be Superman:doh:

Guess Nolan should get Michael Caine to be Perry White and Hugh Jackman to be Lex Luthor.

lol

co-signed.

crude but vertty funny.

lol, thanks. Though I suppose I will give Smallville credit for at least holding my interest for a couple seasons before it turned to total crap. Welling always sucked but occasionally the stories were engaging and Lex was good.

As for Lois and Clark... I hated that show from the get-go. It was like watching Moonlighting with super powers.

Here's another up and coming TV actor that could work as Superman if he bulks up.

Lucas Bryant, star of the new science fiction SyFy series "Haven." He's got a low voice and gives off a Bruce Wayne vibe onscreen, but I think he can be transitioned towards Nolan's Superman.

I'm not familiar with his acting chops, but I think he's a nice NEW option looks-wise. He kinda looks like Harmon Walsh.

Don't wanna be a pain, but pretty much everybody just ignored my Scott Eastwood sugestion. Is he THAT horrible of a choice? :hehe:

I know, I feel the same way about my Eddie Cahill suggestion. I guess we are just horrible Superman potential actor suggestors. :oldrazz:

Michael Rosenbaum is the greatest live-action Lex so far.

I actually like both Smallville and Lois & Clark. I also like Superboy.

You are so right, man. I was being sarcastic. :awesome:

This may be the most effed up thread on the whole site.

I'm convinced this is the most effed up forum on the entire site, and that we are the most wacked out fans from a collective standpoint.

Thank you!

Oh, and I'm thanking you because if Joe M. were to land the Superman role, I was wondering who would be a match for him as Jor-El and I think Hamm would fit the bill. Hamm is growing on me as a general Jor-El candidate.

I'd love to see Hamm as Jor-El, but definitely not as Superman. Asides from the fact that he's no taller than Matthew Bomer, he's got a whole 50s vibe going on - that's half the reason he got cast in Mad Men.

Of course, that would work in his favour if he played Jor El - he would naturally lend some authenticity and maturity to this character who died long before Kal El came to Earth.

I just don't think he has a very kind or welcoming look to him either. He could possibly also have made a good Bruce Wayne/Batman, but I just can't picture Hamm making a convincing Clark Kent or Superman.
