I could care less either way. I just like the fact that he said "something" other than Lex. And I have nothing against Lex in this film or the others. I just think it's time, especially with today's technology, to see Superman have it out with someone who is either close or equal in power with him.

But, I don't want him to lose focuse on the emotional core he set up brilliantly in Superman Returns.

I love the alien thing. I don't know about anyone else but I really want to see an all out fight between Superman and a super-powered villain. Maybe they could fight in the FOS.

I'm pretty sure Lex will still be in the film. It'd be nice to see Lex tricking the public into liking him and becoming more the kind of Lex in STAS.

He's already said no Zod before. He took Zod out of the first draft of SR. The writers have said they have no interest in using Zod.

And with what happened to NK with all the crystals on it and it just floating around. It must come into play in the form of Brainiac

I like the way that sounds, it makes my stomach twirl with excitement.

I liked the sound of that also...best of the ST movies IMO.

I hope no Zod either. Nothing against him but he's been done and Singer's already been bashed to death with this film being a bit of a rehash of Superman The Movie.

If they can work out this deal (which looks like it could be over budget and control), then we're going to get a darker sequel than people might expect. Singer showed in Returns at the end that he can do to a dark place with Superman....

I think its gonna be Brainiac for definite. It'd be cool if it was IMO.

I hope New Krypton does factor into the Brainiac story, it'd be a neat tie-in. Will they do him ala TAS or the comics though. I'd prefer TAS version myself and with Singer not reading comics he may use TAS series as his closest reference.

So it could be Brainiac invading earth. That'd kick so much ass. Just hope we get a big fight at the end. It could be a cool ening if they battled in the Fortress and it was destroyed in the fight.

I just really hope that it is a comic villain. I mean, Harris has been quoted in saying that they are thinking about other rogue Kryptonians, that aren't Zod. But, that could just mean a Zod by another name.

Superman has a VERY great gallery. Among the best up there with Batman, Spider-man, X-men, and the Flash. If you are going to make Superman movies, you should UTILIZE these villains.

Just look at Superman's great villains:
-Lex Luthor
-Darkseid
-Brainiac
-Livewire
-Parasite
-Metallo
-Bizzaro
-Doomsday
-Mongul
-Intergang

I mean, these are great villains. If Spider-man can get comic villains like:
-Green Goblin
-Doctor Octopus
-Venom
-Sandman
-Green Goblin II
and possibly
-Lizard and Mysterio

X-men utilized their villains:
-Magneto
-Mystique
-Juggernaut
-Multiple man
-Toad
-Sabertooth
-Pyro
-Archlight
-Kid Omega
-Callisto
-Phoenix
-Stryker
-Lady Deathstrike
-Mastermind

And Batman plans to use:
-Ra's Al Ghul
-Scarecrow
-Zsasz
-Carmine Falcone
-Black Mask
-The Joker
-Penguin
-Maroni
-Two-face


I mean, if all of these other franchises (Spider-man, X-men, and Batman) can use their wealth of villains, why the hell can't Superman use his greatest villains? Is it that they are all not that realistic? I mean, you're dealing with a main character who's an alien to begin with, if you can accept that- is a Metal man with a kryptonite heart is that much of a stretch?

Please- Mr. Singer, WB- UTILIZE SUPERMAN's CLASSIC COMICBOOK foes.

I have a strong feeling the supervillian is going to kill Jason. Thats the only way to stir up the kind of Wrath of Khan hero/villian vibe with Routh yelling the Supervillian's name in agony and ready to beat the living hell out of him.

Considering Singer is a trek fan, Captain Kirk's illegetimate son was also killed in the film following TWoK....I wonder.

That's what I'm hoping for. It would create tremendous drama. Also, the kid in a few years isn't gonna be the cute kid that he was in SUPERMAN RETURNS that pepole will like. In SUPERMAN II he'll probably be awkward and annoying- perfect time to get rid of him.
