i hope not. he is the original hero, the one all others are measured against.

Maybe hercules of greek myth, but the warrior angle comic from smallville was ridiculously dumb and i hope it never sees the light of day again. i would like to leave it in smallville.

He'll still be the original hero, even if he's inspired by a fictional hero. And I'm not suggesting he be inspired by Warrior Angel.

yes make manips. fantastic work in this thread.i love it. yes dream. but dont ignore the fact that the actor will be on wires for stuns and flying. and for that they need something under the suit. a harness.

do you understand that actors dont use muscle suits becuase they are small but because this is what they need to make the movie?

Remember Tobey Maguire looked like this in the original Spider-Man;

Yet he still wore a muscle suit when in costume. Did Maguire waste his time bulking up? No, because the muscle suit wasn't for adding muscle.

i think it all depends...

does clark carry the cape and boots and belt in a separate briefcase since thats the hardest thing to keep under his street clothes or does he tuck the cape into his clothes and his belt under his other belt and his dress shoes over his boots?

I can see that most dont like the idea but i really think it makes him look more interesting.

I think understand what your trying to say here but i don't think its entirely correct. I dont really understand what difference it makes if they are wearing thin material or thicker material?

Your saying that they wear muscle suits underneath a costume when doing wire work? why would it be any different to a thinner material?

I can see that most dont like the idea but i really think it makes him look more interesting.

Some people want him to be more interesting, so the first thing they do is suggest festooning the costume with pointless,stupid crap, like lace up hiking boots,seams,and massive over the top capes. Faithfully translated from the comics to the big screen, Superman's costume is interesting enough already. I understand people are trying to be creative, but some of the latest suggestions (especially the boots) are borderline ludicrous. Remember "Less is more" and More is..err... just more. Raimi's Spiderman costume, should be the template for how to make a really great contemporary costume.

I know it's such a minor nitpick, but Superman with laces on his boots does not seem right at all to me. I'm fine with clasps/buckles, with a zipper somewhere(just for movie costume/filming; not visible). But the laces just looks too off for me.

I think the laces would look great *IF* the film were set in the 1950's or before..
For me, they wouldn't look right for a modern take.

The spiderman costume was fine except for the raised webbing I would have made it a little shallower and a deeper black, now it's a don't know what you got till it's gone situation I would take toby's suit any day over the new one what the hell made them think that looked good
